It endures continuous exposure to temperatures as low as -40°C, ensuring flexibility and stability in cold environments. Simultaneously, it provides excellent heat resistance, tolerating up to 232°C continuously and 260°C intermittently. This makes it a highly reliable solution for use in demanding automotive and industrial applications where exposure to extreme heat and cold is a concern. - ✅ EXCELLENT RESISTANCE TO OILS, FLUIDS, AND TOXIC GASES: Designed for durability and high performance, this flexible sealant effectively resists a variety of harsh substances. It maintains a secure seal against oils, transmission fluids, antifreeze, grease, and water, preventing leaks and ensuring proper functionality of mechanical components. Additionally, it withstands exposure to smoke and hot toxic gases, making it suitable for automotive engines and exhaust systems where these elements are present. This superior resistance ensures reliable operation under demanding conditions, reducing the risk of damage caused by fluid contamination or environmental exposure. - ✅ REPLACES TRADITIONAL GASKETS: Engineered to serve as a highly efficient alternative to conventional gaskets, this product eliminates the need for other materials. By forming a strong, flexible, and durable bond, it creates customised seals directly on the required surfaces. The application process is simplified, reducing installation time while improving reliability. Unlike traditional gaskets that may degrade, crack, or require frequent replacement, this advanced sealant offers a superior long-term solution, adapting perfectly to the shape and needs of each component without the limitations of pre-cut gaskets. - ✅ SAFE FOR CATALYTIC CONVERTERS AND ELECTRONIC SENSORS: The innovative formulation ensures that it does not damage catalytic converters or interfere with sensitive electronic sensors, making it safe for modern vehicle systems. Unlike some sealants that can emit harmful substances affecting emissions control devices, this polysiloxane-based compound remains chemically stable and non-reactive with vehicle components. This makes it an excellent choice for use in engines, transmissions, and other automotive applications where maintaining system integrity is essential. - ✅ IDEAL FOR ENGINE COMPONENTS AND VARIOUS APPLICATIONS: Perfect for use in a wide range of applications, including engine components such as cylinder-head covers, oil crankcases, transmissions, water pumps, and thermostats. Its ability to create strong and flexible seals makes it ideal for both automotive and industrial settings. Whether used for routine maintenance, repair work, or performance upgrades, this high-performance sealant ensures a reliable and long-lasting solution. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000Y8U9OK | | Best Sellers Rank | 1,059 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) 7 in Fillers, Adhesives & Sealants | | Brand | Wynn's | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Material | Metal | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (581) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05411693576805 | | Item Dimensions | 29 x 4.5 x 4.5 centimetres | | Item Form | Paste | | Item Highlight | Ideal for Engine Components & Automotive Applications | | Item Type Name | Black Gasket Maker | | Item Weight | 300 Grams | | Manufacturer | Wynn Oil UK | | Manufacturer Part Number | WYN57680 | | Model Number | 1831054 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Warranty | 2 year | | Style Name | Single | | Surface Recommendation | Countertop, Sink, Tile, Tub, Wall | | Unit Count | 200.0 millilitre | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Wynn's - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 29 x 4.5 x 4.5 centimetres - **Item weight:** 300 Grams - **Style:** Single - **Water resistance level:** Waterproof ## Images ![Wynn's Black Gasket Maker - Heat, Cold & Oil Resistant - Waterproof - 200ml - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41KXiu7jxsL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: When fitting a rocker cover do you apply to both surfaces or just the head.** A: We use it regularly on our tractor puller which has the rocker cover off every month or so during the summer. We find it best to put the silicon onto the decreased rocker cover then let it go off for at least an hour then attach rocker cover to a greased head, this way we can remove multiple times without fuss of peeling and replacing silicon as it stays firmly adhered to rocker cover . If you glue it down to both the head and rocker cover degreased it will definitely seal well but won't come off in one piece next time . **Q: How long does it take to dry** A: Touch dry after about an hour, left it on for about 3 before I drove the car to be sure. **Q: Can this be used on a car water pump upto 20psi? How long does it take to dry once metal surfaces are bolted together?** A: i build jag engines up using this & no problems best to leave for 24 hours if poss, have also fitted water pumps to later jags & used car straight away all ok GW **Q: Is good to make a sump pan gasket, resistant to oil and high temperature?** A: Would recommend it to anyone its is brilliant even put it on exhaust joint and it don't get any hotter than that!!! ## Frequently Bought Together - Wynn's Black Gasket Maker - Heat & Cold Resistant - Waterproof & Oil Resistant - Ideal for Engine Components & Automotive Applications - 200ml - Granville 0458 200ml High Temp Instant Gasket Can - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/47966283-wynns-black-gasket-maker-heat-cold-and-oil-resistant-waterproof](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/47966283-wynns-black-gasket-maker-heat-cold-and-oil-resistant-waterproof) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
