Excellent, high quality, basic VR headset for anyone curious about Virtual Reality
This VR headset is more Google Cardboard than Gear VR, but for £15 it's absolutely worth it and very impressive. The packaging on this was the first thing to impress me, it's in a lovely black box with a sleeve cover that has product information on it. Inside, the headset takes up most of the space so there's no wasted packaging here. It includes a little microfiber cloth to wipe the lenses with, and some black sticky pads, along with some instructions that are in broken English. The instructions aren't particularly needed though, setting it up is incredibly simple and mostly done through your phone anyway. The front of the headset comes off in two ways: a front panel which shows a gap for a phone camera, and by a hinge. The hinged part is where you put your phone. It's a case of just widening the small latches and slipping your phone in, then closing the hinge. Easy. You can adjust the view in two ways. Move the lenses closer or further apart by a scroll wheel on top, or move the phone closer or farther from your eyes. This can help lessen any eye strain and, if you're like me and suffer from motion sickness, it can help with that too. Side note, the lenses have a protective film on them. I didn't realise they were there and half an hour into using it took them off and the picture quality went up by a lot. Don't make my mistake! The actual product feels sturdy, I have demo'd a Gear VR and honestly, while the Gear VR is clearly a superior product (for a much larger price) the build quality FEELS pretty similar. Even though this is essentially a plastic version of Google Cardboard, I can definitely see this standing up to a lot of use. The straps to keep it secured on your head are very comfortable, and adjustable by velcro fastens. They are made of a very nice feeling elastic, so this is sure to fit any head size. The padding around the eyes is very comfortable, it feels like the padding on premium over-ear headphones. Very comfortable even on extended use. Some negative points, although not necessarily reflective on the headset itself.if you're prone to motion sickness, do be aware that this is almost guaranteed to trigger it. I'm one of those people who gets motion sick playing FPS games, or even Minecraft, and this was no different. Be sure to take regular breaks, and stop if you start to feel ill. I think this is something Gear VR, Oculus Rift, etc, have taken into account in an attempt to lessen it. Whether it works I don't know, but be aware that you may feel motion sick with this one.Another thing is that there are no external controls on this. It's your phone doing the work, this is only as powerful as your phone is. If there is anything to tap, or you want to exit out, you need to open the hinged flap and tap your phone like that. Can break the immersion a little, but it's a limitation you have to accept.I think it's incredible that we have things like virtual reality in a small package like this, that works very well, and is easily accessible to a large portion of the population. This is a basic headset that will give anyone with a compatible smartphone (this is compatible with a huge range, I used a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge). Download the Google Cardboard app for some free and very impressive apps to go with your headset. I personally thoroughly recommend VRSE, which has some stunning videos, and check out Google Street View too, for clear and beautiful views of amazing locations across the world.I would absolutely recommend this to anybody looking to dip their toes into VR. For £15 it is absolutely worth the price, I would have been happy spending up to around £30 on this product. Whether you upgrade to a higher end model or not, this headset will definitely give you a great taste of what VR has to offer.

Good for the first experience with VR
"Just play without adjusting the focal length, everyone can use it no need adjust, more easy and better than adjustable one." - that's simply not true. Of course eyes differ from person to person to adjustment of the focal length and the pupillary distance are necessary. The bold claim that everyone can use it is also wrong. I for a start with my moderate myopia of -4.5d in both eyes can't adjust the focal length enough to be able to see the screen clearly - I don't blame the manufacturer or supplier for that but they should choose their words more carefully. Also not true is the use of fresnel lenses, fitted are common plain plastic lenses. The little protruding lip on top of the front flap is too small for the strength of the magnets which hold the flap in the closed position. Inserting a phone is made extra difficult with both the top and the bottom clamp being moveable. With a Oneplus X inserted it's just about possible to close the flap with a headphone jack with nothing to spare. When adjusting the focal length the front part with the silver rim and front flap moves out of the main body. That's functional but doesn't look good. But who looks good with such a thing in the face anyway? The head straps are elastic and easily adjustable with Velcro strips. Where the body meets the face there's a nice and softly cushioned strip fitted all around, excluding the recess for the nose obviously. The whole headset is rather light but of course the phone adds some heft but still the combination is rather comfortable to wear. The experience of VR is quite impressive and for the first approach with the technology this headset is certainly a good buy, while I don't know what a much more expensive one can do better.

Great headset, with hardly any letdowns.
If anyone's interested in VR, I've recently purchased this item, the VR Shinecon . I Decided to purchase it as I've been interested in VR for a while and had my first VR experience through a Samsung Gear VR headset. As impressive as the top VR headsets are, mobile headsets are very much more affordable and can fit a variety of sizes. Also, some if not all headsets come with lens adjusting controls, like mine, which can alter your field of view weather you prefer a more close up experience, or viewing things further away. Another thing, which maybe a downside to a mobile headset VR is motion fatigue. Which if you are prone to motion sickness, I would generally avoid using such a device for long periods of time as the first time you wear one, it can feel a little head jarring. As I own a HTC M9, and device fits naturally into the adjustor clips and doesn't fall out of place when you close the main housing where your device would sit. For the best VR experience, id recommend having a decent enough phone with good battery life and processor, as when you are using VR apps, depending on your device, it will get pretty warm fairly quickly. Speaking of apps, there are plenty available from the google play store which are mostly free, but there are a few paid one too. (I've only paid for one so far at the cost of £1) Some VR apps seem to work a little differently, as they will require you to physically press a button on your device, which isn't easy if your phone is in a self contained VR headset. Although others you can use fine from head movement, and the indicator on screen will act accordingly .The Shinecon has Velcro straps situated either side and on top of the unit, to easily adjust for different head sizes and to ensure for a tight grip so it doesn't fall off your head when in use. From the short period of use I've had with this VR headset, I'm very happy with it, and the lenses are really clear and big enough to see what's going on around you when your looking at VR apps and such . Would recommend this to friends and family.
