I'm thinking of buying these pens to use at home. Can anyone tell me if the ink will come off easily from a blackboard and a chalk paint board?

The answer depends on the material of your board. All brands of liquid chalk are for use with non-porous surfaces. Any non-porous surface will easily wipe clean. Unfortunately some boards are made of a porous wood board covered with chalk paint. In this case the ink will seep into the material and you may need to use cleaning materials to remove the ink.

Has anyone used these on an Ikea chalk notice board? if so does it rub off?

Hi there! I've used these on the Ikea chalk notice board, and they did rub off. I've use them on various chalk boards, and have found that they come off easily. If they're stubborn to shift, spray a little cheap hairspray on a cloth before wiping, and they come off like a dream.

Are they suitable for a chalkboard painted wall??

As you can see from other replies, it does depend on the kind of surface and paint that you use. Our markers are erasable easily from NON-POROUS surfaces only. Painted walls are normally porous surfaces so you will probably find it hard to erase the ink. However, if you use a glossy paint or some kind of varnishing to make the surface non-porous you will probably be able to erase the ink easily. Just remember to test the surface by making a small mark on a hidden area of the surface beforehand.

my "chalkboard" is just my painted plasterboard wall with a layer of chalkboard paint on top. would the ink come off of that too?

Yes i think the chalk markers would come off, i usually wipe the chalk board with a damp cloth and it comes off easily.
