Cold blue light, but solid performance over 4 years - impressed!
I actually bought this about 4 years ago, and I've got to say that it's been a total trooper. I grabbed it thinking it would be handy when getting up to feed the newborn in the night, which it was, but it's also been plugged used solidly for 4 year and two children now. in the plug socket nearest the staircase, and the dusk til dawn light sensor works well, ensuring a safe and subtle blue glow which is just bright enough to safely see any tripping hazards, but not so bright as to distract the children under the door. We rarely use the landing lights at all now.The light has a distinct cold-blue cast to it, and there seems to be a bit of a cultural shift saying blue light is not great for sleep (ie the 'blue light filters' on modern phone screens) which has made me wonder whether I should be moving it away from the landing. I'll be getting a couple of warm white versions for other parts of the house but I am not put off using this as it's performed so well for us.

Great for subtle background lighting.
Excellent product and really good if you need some background lighting on the landing whilst dealing with a newborn in a Moses basket next to your bed. The light is enough to see what's going on, but not too bright to disturb the baby or yourself.Those that have reviewed and said it's not bright enough - buy a lamp!! This is intended as low level background lighting.Again, those that have reviewed wanting the light to come on as you walk past - buy a PIR light!! This is designed to come on at night, and turn off when the minimum light level is achieved in the morning to save you electricity.Ideal product for newborns and infants who need a subtle baclground light.

Good Nightlight but very bright
As night lights go, these do the job, but we found that out kids struggled to go back to sleep once they woke up because of the brightness.They aren't overly bright but I'd say probably just over what I'd prefer, however I really like the light sensor it has on it which turns it off when daylight is detected.I now have them in the hallway in case the kids get out of bed they can see any hazards, but in their bedrooms I use a red nightlight which doesn't keep them awake as much.

Lindam for safety
Purchased this light after having one in a self catering holiday cottage. Cannot recommend it highly enough. It is used on our landing and provides sufficient light for anyone wanting the bathroom during the night. The light is not sufficient for changing nappies if it is not in the bedroom itself. The light functions very well and does switch itself on and off depending on daylight and electric lights. If you want a reliable night light then this is the one for you.

Fantastic little night light.
This is the 2nd one I have purchased. The 1st time was about 3 years ago for my daughter, it suited her so well that I knew I would get another for her brother which I now have done. I was unsure about the brightness though as my son has only a box room and thought it would be too bright but in fact it is just right. So much better than the orange night lights had previous, this one gives off better light and your sleep is not affected as when you close your eyes you don't notice the room being lit. Fantastic little night light which turns off in day light and comes on at night when the room gets dark, well recommend.

Great night light
I have this nightlight for the landing when my kids get up in the night and need to find the bathroom or my room without turning all the lights on. It glows bright enough to see where you’re going. It automatically comes on as it starts to get dark and turns of itself when it is daytime. I really like how I don’t have to do anything it can recognise when it’s dark and needs to be on. It would be a good bedroom night light too for any kids scared of the dark it’s a nice blueish glow not a bright light. I would recommend it I have had it a good few months and it is still going strong.

OK, but somewhat fragile, and you'll need to be happy with blue light
Quite a good night light, but the blue light looks a little 'cold'. And after owning mine 6 months I accidentally dropped it just a short height onto a tile floor and it stopped working, so it's rather fragile. Having tried both, I much prefer the "Lifemax Automatic Led Night Light 678" because of it's yellow light, styling, and price.

Excellent Light - compact, good value, effective
This has solved our toddler and the dark problems brilliantly.The sensor is sensitive enough to react well to different levels of light in the room and the light is soft enough for sleep but bright enough to leave our toddler comforted. The size is great - we've had nore bulky lights with sensors that were not very effective and paid more for them. Will be buying another for our second child when the time comes and one for the landing too. Excellent buy.
