This is the third Remington Barba I have had over the years, and I think the fact that I keep coming back speaks volumes about them. The problem is that each time they've given in (or I've worn them out), I thought I knew best and decided to find a better one to replace it. I searched around and found something that had more bells and whistles, was sucked in by the reviews and gimmicks and fell for the promises that I had found a perfect replacement. NOT! After a relatively short time, this new device would begin to show its weak points, the gimmicks that I never used, or indeed needed and its longevity clearly wasn't a patch on the Barba. So I replaced it with another Barba. A few years pass by and hey presto - déjà vu. Been here before. I've worn it out - but this time I WILL find a better one. And I thought I had until thing's began to repeat themselves. Lights failed. It wouldn't charge - or hold it's charge, accessories became loose, etc., etc. So here we are again. My third Remington Barba. The design hasn't changed much over the years. Its battery was upgraded a few years back, and the pop-up detailing trimmer is much better than it used to be. But there are no fancy lights, no numerical illuminated remaining power indicators, no clip on accessories and it's not really waterproof. But those niggles aside, for your money, you get a good, solid and reliable piece of kit. And guess what? It's a good beard trimmer. A very good trimmer indeed. So don't waste your time looking for something better. You won't find one, and it's time you'll never get back. You've been looking for good beard trimmer - Right? Of course you are. That's why you're reading this. Well, you've found it.

I don't have a beard but I hate being clean shaven, instead preferring the look of about 3 days' growth, which for me equates to around 2mm of stubble. After doing a bit of research I decided on the Remington Professional MB320C and after 3 weeks of regular use I'm very impressed. The comb guard that covers the blade is cleverly designed so that there's no chance of accidentally taking off too much length. After reading reviews of other similar products and seeing people complaining about poor guard design requiring very careful angling and positioning of the trimmer, I was very pleased to find that with the Remington you can just casually hack away with no danger whatsoever of taking too much off and ending up with a patchy beard/patchy stubble. The battery seems to last for a while as I've used it roughly once every other day and it hasn't needed another charge yet. It's also got a decent precision trimmer on the reverse, so you can trim sideburns etc. This is a great product and is perfect whether you just want stubble or you've got a proper beard to maintain. It's also good value for money too given the price tag. **Update 18/05/2013** Still going strong! On average I've used it twice per week, every week, and the blades are still sharp and cut well. The battery life has declined and a full charge is now enough for about an hour of constant usage, but this has only happened over the last couple of years and I doubt it'd present much of an issue unless you were using it every day. **Update 03/10/2017** It's still going and still cutting well! The battery struggles a lot now and is operating at a charge:shave ratio of 1:1, but I just run it directly off the mains using an extension lead so it's not an issue.

I think this is a pretty good trimmer. Easy to use and set to length. I cant comment on effectiveness for longer beards as I cut mine to 4 or 5 mm and works great. Think the comments that guard breaks when cleaning must be done by heavy handed people or those that haven't read instructions. Just rotate the wheel to max length and gently wiggle it and comes off easily. Put back the same. Nice pop up trimmer. With it set to 3mm I have also cut my hair with it and works fine. I have only taken 1 star off probably should be half a star as recharge is long. 14 to 16 hours but in reality for me it isn't an issue. Shave once a week then plug it in overnight. Not a deal breaker. All in i am very happy with it. 4.5/5

I bought my first 'Remington Barba Beard Trimmer' about 10 years ago and it has only stopped working last weekend when I dropped it on the hard bathroom floor. When it finally broke the grading adjustment mechanism had come loose and would no longer adjust. However, up until now the blades have kept their sharpness and the product has never presented a design flaw. I usually just store the shaver in a wash bag with a lot of other grooming equipment but the finish on the shaver has never dented or begun to look used and old. Even the silver coating down the sides has stayed looking pretty much new. On another instance when I had accidently dropped the shaver, one of the ribs from the plastic guard broke. I got on the phone to Remington and customer support sent out a free replacement that arrived within a couple of days. The only other problem I have had is that the battery began to lose its charge about 3 years into ownership so i've had to plug it in at the mains every time but the fact it has lasted about 10 years is incredible. This can be used as a head shaver/ hair cutter and a beard trimmer. I've owned a couple of more expensive clippers like the ones used in salons and the blades for both models lost their sharpness shortly after purchase. As said before not a problem with this product at all. Comparing it with a typical clipper it is much smaller, much easier to use, more accurate with closer grading, and doesn't require the grade guards to be changed. I used to pay about £20 a week to get my hair cut before I owned this and that was a cheap option usually involving trainees. Now I can cut my own hair in a variety of styles within 15 minutes and it costs me nothing. I hate to think what it costs now to get a professional haircut. I used to hate getting it done by someone else anyway, I much prefer doing it myself. So I have gone ahead and ordered another to replace it. This is one of those few products that does everything how it is supposed to and really impresses. I hope they continue to sell this item for years to come.

Perfect and good price

I was looking for a replacement beard trimmer that had a short trim length of around 1.5mm, a decent price, and backed up by good reviews; the Remington MB320C caught my eye and seemed to satisfy these requirements. I found the two supporting reviews on Amazon informative and was the deciding factor on the purchase, compared to other reviews I'd seen on alternative makes/models. Amazon.co.uk offered a decent price, provided the expected excellent delivery service and sound packaging, so well done Amazon. First impressions of the beard trimmer were a solid, well built, tactile, comfortable and well balanced in the hand; a very well designed product. The Trimmer Comb Attachment is adjusted by the well placed thumb wheel; it has a good positive engagement when setting. The Trimmer Comb moves up and down to achieve the desired length and completely covers the razor, it's easily removed by pulling off, but again this has a positive action and firm positioning. Your first job will be to charge up the trimmer for 14-16 hours. The three plug/transformer combo provides the means to re-charge, with a lamp on the trimmer to indicate charging is taking place, however when fully charged the lamp remains lit, so there's no means to indicate full charge - just watch the clock. The Trimmer Comb is well designed and provides a fairly wide platform that sits against your skin to allow for an exceptional even well controlled shave/trim; it's also easy to clean. There are 9 shave settings/lengths available, set by the thumb wheel and next to that is a number indicator 1 to 9. The settings are as follows 1=1.5mm, 2=2.5mm, 3=4mm, 4=5.5mm, 5=7mm, 6=9mm, 7=11mm, 8=14mm, 9=18mm. Now I only use the short length settings so unable to comment on the longer settings, but I started off with the 1/1.5mm setting which provided a good even cut, but I did find that compared to other trimmers I've used this seemed a tad shorter, so I've now settled for the 2/2.5mm setting that seems to cut to around the 2mm mark. It should also be noted that the Comb and Thumb Wheel holds its place in-between settings so if careful may offer further cut lengths! There's a low charge warning lamp on the trimmer, and pulling off the comb attachment allows the pop-up trimmer to be activated. The Comb length setting remains when taking off and replacing back the attachment, which is handy. The real proof is in the handling and shave, and I've found this to be a delight to use. 10/10. Too early to comment on reliability (had it for only a few weeks), but I suspect based on the build it will stand the test of time. Highly recommended beard trimmer and good value for the money. April 2009 Still very pleased with the product, the pop-up trimmer is a bit flimsy but apart from that a cracking product. The price was good at time of purchase at just over twenty one pounds! January 2013 Four and a half years on from purchase and I can honestly say still good as new compared to when first bought. Used most days of the week over this period and it still cuts well and holds its charge. July 2015 Same trimmer still going strong after 7 years of use! September 2016 Well, after 8 years of reliable use the battery does not now hold its charge and so I've bought an exact replacement at a similar price point to the original, may this prove long lived too :-)

I've had several of these trimmers down the years and its the one I keep coming back to as the trim is good, battery lasts reasonably well for the price. The product itself is fine and would be 5 stars but its getting a 3 because for some reason on this occasion and its never happened before when I've purchased the product, I've been sent a 2 pin charger which is useless to me in UK. Luckily I've still got one of my old chargers which seems to do the job.

I was very happy with Barba Trimmer initially, however it very soon stopped charging. I have filled in a support form on the Remington Web Site and am awaiting a reply. Update - Credited in full and I have ordered a new replacement Remington Barba Trimmer and upgraded to 4 stars

Do tej pory byłem fanem Philips OneBlade, jednak nożyki są bardzo kosztowne. Przy twardym zaroście trzeba je bardzo często wymieniać. Remington bardzo dobrze radzi sobie nawet z twardym zarostem. Dzięki możliwości regulacji długości cięcia, każdy będzie mógł w łatwy sposób zadbać o swoją brodę :) Akumulatorek wystarcza naprawdę na wiele sesji, więc bez obaw! Ładowanie również następuje dosyć szybko.

I'd been using this model for about 10 years. Only bought 2 in that time. Excellent job. I lost my last one when moving and bought another brand for a similar price. It's going in the bin. Picked up my new one of these today. Two minutes, perfect finish for facial hair, no hassles. Not as good as hair in areas a lady may want to examine with some scrutiny (it does nick wrickly areas) but I am my trimmed goatee are so glad to be home.
