Review: Right tool for the job! - Unsure at first if this was the right tool for the job. I looked at mini chainsaws but didn’t feel comfortable using one. I then stumbled across the DIY friendly Black & Decker Scorpion saw and ordered blindly. The provided Instructions aren’t great as I struggled at first to insert the blade. However, a quick google and it all became clear as there are lots of YouTube tutorials online. Once up and running the blade seemed solid enough for me to cut down an overgrown tree / shrub. The trunks weren’t overly thick and it cut through them pretty easily and quickly as the blade was obviously new and sharp. There’s a nice safety feature on the saw too which is great. Once you release, the blade will stop. Overall I’d definitely recommend this if the job isn’t too difficult or demanding. For the average DIY’er / gardener, I would say this is a safe and effective tool to tackle overgrown small trees and shrubs. Review: Good bit of kit - Bought this saw yesterday. Used it today to cut up a solid oak king sized bed including the metal frame. When using gently push saw back and forth like a hand saw, makes light work. My brother has just been doing that.The metal cutting blade is first class and makes the hacksaw redundant. There is also a jigsaw blade which is yet another usefor this brilliant saw. **Q: how accurate is the cut?** A: Very accurate and smooth cut. Hardly needed to sand after cutting. **Q: how to fit blades. can't get module in right position** A: Use a screwdriver to get the location pin in right position (screw slot vertical) fit the blade over the pin, push in the blade release button and push it up into position, release the blade release button and try pulling blade down, if it still moves down you can try moving it into position by turning the location pin blade slot into a horizontal position and test if it is secure..
