Great bulb at a great price!
I was incredibly impressed with TP-Links smart bulb offering. The tech is very well implemented, the product is nice to look at and not too much bigger than a standard bulb. I also LOVE the fact that TP-Link include a B22 adapter IN THE BOX!I have a full, in-depth review/write-up on my blog, which can be found here: https:// willstocks dot co dot uk /review-tp-link-lb110-wifi-led-smart-bulb/ or alternatively use the link in my Amazon profile. But as an overview to my findings:Setup/Install is a complete breeze. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Kasa app and you'll be up and running in no time. The bulb connects to your home WiFi network and I feel it’s worth noting at this point that the bulb only supports the 2.4GHz wireless frequency, so if for whatever reason you’re only outputting 5GHz…. this is something to consider!I didn’t have any major issues, the bulb simply worked – no dropping off the network, no non-responsiveness and setup just worked.Something I mention in my blog post: The bulb did seem to get very warm to the touch.Another thing mentioned in my blog post: Within the Kasa app, I’m really not a fan of the decimal time. This is entirely personal opinion, but it’d be nice to have the option to switch between decimal and hrs/mins.Features:Single colour – WhiteSingle colour temperature – 2700K800 Lumens (60w incandescent equivalent)270° wide angle beam11W required to power (at 60W equivalent brightness)WiFi enabled (no bridge/specific router required)Dimmable via appBulbs can be grouped with other TP-Link smart devicesClean and simple Kasa app to control ALL TP-Link smart devicesLow power LED’s for incredible cost savingsClaimed bulb lifetime of 22.8 yearsCompatible with Amazon Alexa, Google AssistantA bayonet (B22) adapter is included in the box!

Excellent, stand-alone device (no bridge required).
This bulb is controllable by the AMAZON echo devices without any other hardware....no bridge....nothing.Works well and is especially suitable for people who have a disability which limits their ability to operate conventional light switches or dimmers, as they only have to speak to the Echo. for example, if you have a main light in your lounge, you can call the bulb "Lounge Main" (an easy, one-time set this up via the TP LINK app "Kasa") and then say "Alexa, turn on lounge main" and the light turns on. Similarly, say "Alexa, lounge main on 50%" and the bulb will dim to 50% output. Other bulbs can be named and individually controlled. The bulb is expensive but contains ALL the hardware you need to operate it, including an Edison Screw to Bayonet adapter, WHICH FITS.PROs :Easy to install and operate : Instructions are in PROPER ENGLISH and easy to follow. : Simple to rename if you wish to move it : Being LED technology, it consumes very little energy and will last for years.CONs :Relatively expensive but will pay for itself in energy savings alone over time : If you suffer a power outage, the lamp will turn on (at a programmable brightness level) when the power returns, so you may get a rude awakening if this happens during your normal sleeping time (if in darkness).OVERALL :I like this product. I have installed 4 of them in my home so far, and I love the fact that I can control them individually, or in (programmable) groups using any of the Amazon Echo devices in my home.

HOW TO FIX CONNECTION DROPPING
This bulb (TP-Link LB110) has all the wireless connectivity in its base and therefore you don't need to invest in a separate bridge/hub which is the case with Phillips Hue. If your outlet is bayonet, the included adapter does a good job if you don't mind the bulky end result. It works fine with the Kasa app, as well as with Alexa. Something I didn't like too much is that the lowest setting (1%) is considerably brighter than what you could achieve with a tungsten bulb and a traditional dimmer. Also, the jump from 1% to 2% is more noticeable than let's say 70% to 90%. This may not be an issue for everybody, but if you want to use the app to set the bulb as a sunrise clock, that makes it not as smooth as you may expect it to be.HOW TO FIX DROPPING CONNECTIONI could not believe how unreliable this bulb was at first. It would drop the connection literally all the time. Shouting at Alexa 10 times as definitely not easier than flipping the physical switch on the wall. The plastic base of the bulb would overheat. I thought it was absolutely useless product, especially compared to the wireless power sockets by TP-LINK that work without any fuss in the same room where the bulb is.After a couple of days desperately trying to get the bulb to work, talking to Amazon and the TP-LINK tech support with no luck, I decided to look into the settings of my Sky router. The following may be a bit nitty gritty, but looking into it is worth it if you experience the common losing connection issue mentioned by other reviewers. There are 13 wireless channels on my router which are there to ensure there is no interference with nearby devices/networks. By default it dynamically sets the wireless channel to the most efficient one (in my case it would pick either 1 or 6). I disabled the auto setting and chose channel 7... the bulb started working flawlessly, no more dropped connection. I have about 8 other wireless devices connected to the same network and they all worked fine too.OVERALL, it's a good piece of equipment, but the manufacturer should address the interference issue both with a more useful technical guidance and firmware update (I did install the latest version, but that made no difference). I bought this on Prime Day for less than £16 and it was a good value for me. However, I am not sure I would have paid a higher price for it. Something I'd like to see is Apple Home support.
