Limescale & Detergent Remover for Washing Machines & Dishwashers 10 Applications

This is now my second order of this product.. I had major issue with my Hotpoint washing machine seal in March 2014 due to black mould/smells. I did a 4 wash cycle on 95 deg initially to start off the mould removal. This removed approx. 85% of the initial problem and I have now used one per month and it is now Feb 2015- the mould has gone totally and the machine looks and smells like new. Using liquid detergent at low temps will apparently increase mould forming in the machine. Leaving the door and drawer open after using this cleaner will help prevent mould forming. Many people say they have had poor results when using the product, but I think you need to understand that if you have a major build up of mould, it will take several applications before you see results and you MUST use the hottest temperature on your appliance. I have also used this on my Hotpoint Dishwasher, as the pump sounded as if it was constantly labouring. Again after 2 cycles with this cleaner, it is near silent again. This is the same product sold and recommended by Hotpoint/Indesit, but with a brilliant Amazon price. I now have a chart on the wall in the kitchen and a years supply of cleaner for washing machine/dishwasher, with a cycle run at the end of each month. Excellent product, just be prepared to wait for results if your appliance is really "gunked" up.

Wow, this is an awesome product! My washing machine had started to get a bit pongy a few months ago and we had bought a couple of boxes of washing machine cleaner from the supermarket. We used two of them sequentially on a 90°C wash and it was still musty and smelly. It was getting worse and it came to a head when the other day my clothes actually came out of the washer really stinky, sort of mouldy and fusty. It was grim. I did a search for something a bit more "hardcore" to get my washer clean as my clothes were becoming unwearable and a washing machine spares firm had a video which recommended this item plus showed how to use it. I looked on Amazon and lo and behold, not only did they sell it cheaper it was also Prime eligible! I ordered it while my stinky washing was still sat festering in a basket and I was hoping it would do the trick so I could re-wash them. The item arrived at 7:30 am the next morning and I used it straight-away. What a difference! The machine smelt so fresh and clean after just one wash. As my machine had been so bad I did another wash with it as a sort of preventative measure, then I marked it on the calendar so I could remember to do a wash every month as recommended. I re-washed all my smelly clothes and they came out clean, fragrant and fresh. This cleaner has 10 sachets so for the price it is really cost-effective (plus you can use it on dishwashers so that got a go too). I am so happy with it, I personally think it does exactly what it says on the box!

Been using this product for some time now and i can say no problems, but i've used a limescale/detergent remover in my machine from new, although not always with this product. So i'm unable to comment on it's effectiveness on cleaning a dirty/smelly machine but it has worked very well in keeping the washer good as new, nice and sparkly only given four stars because i can only comment on parts that are seen (drum/outlet pipe). I only use once every two months or so depending on how many washes I do of coarse, I wash my work clothes three times a week (work in wood workshop) along with all the other stuff. One tip i learned when i was fitting kitchens a few years back to help stop a washer from smelling although this only applies if it's a stand alone machine, once you have finished your wash leave the door open a small way and allow the drum inside to dry out. It can't be done easily if it's a intergrated washing machine, it means you have to prop the door open and 'spoil the clean lines of your new kitchen ;) Oh...... one more as others have pointed out, every once and awhile set it to do the hottest wash possible with just the limescale & detergent remover ONLY, this helps to clean the heating element if it's a cold feed only (most are in the UK are these days).

I have been trying for months to get rid of the horrendous smell coming from my washing machine. The smell had started to impart on washed clothes too and towels smelt bad when wet. I have searched the internet for advise, trying many different suggestions and nothing I've tried has worked, even after multiple attempts. I have also tried multiple empty hot (90°C) washes, but again to no avail. The smell from the machine had got so bad that I was seriously considering replacing it. It was only after trying the various other methods that I discovered that products, such as the 'Limescale and Detergent Remover' on on this page are manufactured to tackle such problems. Having received this product I eagerly put it into the machine and set it going on a 90°C wash. During the wash the smell from the machine was particularly bad - which is good, as this indicated to me that at least something was getting disturbed and washed around - and the water in the machine had taken on a very murky look. At the end of the wash the machine smelt somewhat cleaner, but some bad smell remained. I persevered though and repeated the process twice more. On the final wash, the water in the machine was clear, not murky like in the first wash, which suggested that the machine was now clean. I am now left with a fresh smelling washing machine, with not even a hint of the previously horrendous smell. So, although the product took a few attempts to get it done, ultimately it has worked well, where nothing else I've tried has. I wrote this one week after using the product and I am pleased to say that the machine still smells fresh. I can't comment on the products ability to remove limescale, as I live in a softwater area where we don't get any, but it certainly has resolved my smelly machine problem.

I was so fed up with smelling boiled cabbage in my kitchen (when I hadn't even been cooking boiled cabbage) that I decided to give these a try. There are 10 packs in the box, and each pack contains a dampish looking white powder. I'm not sure what the active ingredient is, but the pack says it's acid, so I'd be careful not to get any on your skin. One pack didn't do much for my machine, to be honest. It was slightly better after a second wash at 90 degrees, but it took a THIRD pack before the boiled cabbage effect was gone and even then it still smelled musty. What I did then was I added a dash of Zoflora concentrated disinfectant to the softener compartment of my machine and put it on a rinse cycle and finally my machine looked and smelled cleaner. I guess if you haven't got Zoflora you could use any disdisinfectant, but I like the smell of flora and find it lasts well. Hope this helps any of you out there with similar problems!

Have no problem with this product

I used these in both my smelly washing machine and my dull dishwasher. The treatments are in sachet form, so there's no danger of any going stale/off or of over or under dosing. I live in a hard water area and pipes get bunged up with soap stuff and softener until there's only a pinhole diameter for water to flow through - Then the pong starts! I'm impressed with both machines after just 1 treatment. I ran the hottest washes available (95 in washing machine, 70 in dishwasher), adding 1 sachet in each. The pong's not gone entirely from my washing machine, but it's now minor & I can reasonably expect my clothes to come out cleaner than when I put them in! The drum and rubber seal on the door look amazing, even a wipe round the folds of the seal brought no horrors. The inside of my dishwasher has never looked as shiny since I bought it - Very apparent when I peered in after treatment, & no smells left there! I know these are superficial signs for both machines, but I'll be using these sachets regularly,and I hope they will break up some of the aforementioned build-up in the pipes. This is a stronger and more thorough treatment than soda crystals alone (which I used previously, & will also continue to use). Previously our only alternative was to remove and replace the rubber piping. Due to a new layout in the kitchen this is currently a daunting task. I'd recommend these without hesitation for mucky machines!

La boîte ne contient pas 12 doses comme il est indiqué sur l'annonce , mais 10. Le produit détergent nettoie à peine. Je doute fortement de son efficacité.Je ne réitérerai pas mon achat.

Compre esto por probar, ya que la ropa olía a humedad nada mas sacarla y recién finalizada la lavadora. Al secarse era aun mas fuerte y de ropa sucia. Desde que lo probé esto, ya no tiene ese olor,

My washing machine was smelling like rotten eggs even with leaving the lid open when not in use. I had to use this twice in a row in order to get rid of the smell, but now I use it about once every 2 months and the smell hasn't come back.

Suite à mon précédent commentaire dithyrambique, je renouvelle ma commande pour ce produit: celui-ci correspond cette fois-ci à l'image et un sachet est percé ou mal soudé. Ce dernier s'est vidé dans l'emballage et dans le carton d'expédition. Pas de description de la composition du produit et traduction française laissant à désirer...
