Draper 57569 Mini Round Point Shovel with Fibreglass Shaft, Blue

Bought this in 2016 so thought it was time to review! I use this around the garden for a variety of different things. Planting (it’s not too big), splitting (it’s sharp and can be re-sharpened), generally going all round the garden (it’s lightweight) and as a metal detecting spade (fastens to a backpack) - no word of a lie, it’s been brilliant. Grandson also uses it now as it’s easy to use for the purposes outlined. I use it at least once a week in winter and nearly every day in summer.

Can't fault this little spade. I wanted a pointed spade that was well made but lightweight, this fitted the bill perfectly. The handle feels very comfortable and the fibre glass shaft is very strong but light. Also, the top of the spade has folded-over edges so it doesn't cut into the soles of your wellington boots when digging. I looked at several different manufacturers but I'm so glad that I went with the well known Draper name as this tool has met all my expectations.

This is a good spade has a scratch on it but I didn’t read the description I thought I ordered a normal size spade this is a mini spade guess my 3 year old grandson can use it lol

As a metal detectorsist, this spade is great. It's small, robust and cheap enough to replace if it breaks. With that being said, i have given it some real hard usage over the time i have had it and it still feels as though it will serve me for a lot longer. There is a reason you see detectorists with this spade, it's because it is simply the best choice if you want a cheap and reliable spade. Yeah, it will eventually break, but at £13 it isn't a huge investment. My Verdict? Just buy it :)

Recently bought this shovel as a metal detecting tool and I've found it spot on. So far I've been digging in some stony ground and the blade has proved very strong. The size and weight are absolutely perfect for detectorists. After all, who wants to be lugging a full size shovel around all day to cut plugs?. This mini shovel is incredibly light and perfectly sized for my hobby. I would recommend to anyone with a similar interest but not to a gardening enthusiast due to the small size. Top product! .

Good, strong and handy

I am not very tall, but am an avid gardener. I'm not child size, but this little shovel has been incredibly useful for digging new flower beds containing garden rubble and flints. The point cuts through surface grass/weeds and the low weight and small size has helped me lift the rubble, along with a pickaxe for the more troublesome items, allowing a middle aged woman in her mid-fifties to create a new garden, albeit bit by bit. This is almost like a cross between a full sized shovel and a strong trowel.

As the title says Heavy for a short product I should have purchased an aluminium one or sent it back.

Perfect

Eccellente, bella e robusta, come da descrizione.
