do I need both shampoo and conditioner?

I believe that the conditioner leaves them smoother so i would suggest yes. Its not that amount of cash that would make you rethink. The shampoo is ok by itself but for a softer result i would suggest the conditoner.

Is this product free of sodium?

Yes it is free of salt (sodium). An excellent product and cheaper than most others. Great after a keratin smoothing treatment.

I usually also buy the shampoo at the same time as the conditioner but it does not appear on amazon to buy, is it still available, please, say it is!
