Close your teeth together, as if you were biting down on a piece of paper, and gently chew or grind on the replaced filling a couple times to create a comfortable bite. Use a moist cotton swab to remove excess Temparin Max from around the area. Moisture will accelerate the set. Temparin Max will set softly in your mouth within a few minutes, but avoid chewing on the repair for 2-3 hours to allow the material to fully set. Directions to Secure Loose Crowns, Caps, or Inlays: Try the crown, cap, or inlay first to see if you can fit it accurately back onto the tooth surface. If you are not able to do so, then do not proceed further. If the crown has a post attached to it or if there is tooth surface remaining inside the crown, Temparin Max may not adhere. Carefully rinse the tooth area and the inside of the crown, cap, or inlay with warm water, and do not dry. Scoop a small amount of Temparin Max from the vial, roll into a ball between fingers, and place evenly inside the crown, cap, or inlay. Place the crown, cap, or inlay on the tooth and bite down, applying pressure to push into position. Temparin Max will begin to harden within a few minutes, but avoid chewing on the repair for at least 2-3 hours to allow the material to set. I bought my first one a few months ago and a second one last week (due to leaving it at a friend's elsewhere and not being able to retrieve it quickly).The Temparin Max kit is incredibly easy to use and does a good job at filling cavities temporarily. It's not always easy to find the time (or money!) to get to a dentist, so after part of my root canal filling chipped away on one of my molars, I was looking for ways of making sure bits of food wouldn't get stuck in the gap and rot the filling or shell of my tooth further.The plastic application tool is well designed - one side is a flat 'blade' to cut off the right amount of filling material and the other side is a sort-of 'blob' for pushing the material in to the cavity. Keep in mind, however, that the tool might be a little bit too big for smaller (in diameter) and/or slightly deeper cavities.I really made sure that my mouth was as clean as possible before using the filling material - I wouldn't want any horrible bacteria growing under it. The pack gives clear instructions on keeping your mouth clean (and having washed hands) before using the Temparin Max, but I did a little more cleaning just in case... I brushed twice, taking care around the tooth I was filling, then rinsed with mouthwash. I then rinsed with warm water, more mouthwash, and warm water once more before applying the Temparin Max. Personally I'd rather go a little overboard with cleanliness than risk infection.I have used the product twice now on the same filling. Unfortunately the bank account is saying 'no' to seeing a dentist any time soon, so this is my best option currently. The pack states that it should be used for a maximum of 48 hours (and I would advise people to stick to this if possible), but the product has proven able to stay in for much longer - the first filling I did stayed in for around 5 weeks, and the second is holding strong after several days. Luckily in my case, the particular tooth I'm filling is dead after root canal treatment two years ago.A tip I would give to people is to go through the filling process before you go to bed. This gives the Temparin Max material time to dry and set in place in the tooth without being disturbed by food or drink. That way, the filling is perfectly set and ready to go by the morning. Any excess material flakes off throughout the day but the actual part I want filled stays securely in place for a long time afterwards...
