I've had a Gemini mini for five years and am so pleased to have upgraded to Sizzix Big Shot. Amazing quality, not to heavy but produces crisp die cuts and embossing.

Great little machine.used ti gave a big one but it took up too much room.this 1 big enough for quilting dies.

I have the Big Shot Pro and absolutely love this machine. I bought this smaller version so I can take it with me as the PRO is very big and heavy. I also wanted to have this one to cut the smaller dies and I can put on my crafting table beside me. Like the PRO this is a very well built machine; it is solid and very sturdy when you are turning the handle. It cuts dies with ease; you may have to run some of the more intricate dies through more than once and this also helps to bring out the embossed detail more. I also find that by using the smaller plates and putting more than one die on at a time; it helps with keeping your plates straighter. A great versatile machine and I would highly recommend this machine to all crafters especially those who are just starting out crafting; you literally take it out of the box; attach the handle and away you go. The multipurpose platform has instructions on what sandwich to use for the various dies; thin dies; bigz dies etc and also what sandwich to use for embossing. Very easy and simple to use.

This is a lovely little machine if, like me, you just dabble in card making or crafting. This is my second machine and the first one, which had lasted me 10 years, was still working when I handed it on to a ‘beginner’. I have arthritic thumbs and was actually looking at electric machines but some of the reviews put me off (and the price). This isn’t cheap but if it sees me through the next 10 years, I’ll be thrilled. This model is much tidier than the first one and it certainly does the job.

I'm on around my fifth Big Shot. I use mine almost daily, so I do eventually work them to death! But I always buy another one. The Big Shot is a real work horse, strong and sturdy and also very easy to use. I have an eBosser for my larger dies (rarely used) but I just love my Big Shot.

This is a Sizzix Big Shot machine to replace the one I have had and used frequently for many years. Very happy with my new purchase.

Further to my first review I have been reading the low star score ratings and find them difficult to understand. The warping of the plates can be reduced by turning them over occasionally and a cracking noise is normal (even my electronic one does this). As for the dies marking the plates this is only natural as the dies have sharp edges, it happens on all machines be they manual or electronic. I ensure I use the same plate for the dies to cut into. On my old machine which I had for 15 years I only replaced the plates once. The new machine plates appear to be wearing well. As for dies not cutting through completely this is down to the die. I purchased a multi purpose platform which is a great help but there are still some dies in my collection that need extra padding - I usually just put a couple of sheets of printer paper in the relevant area. As for the types of dies, I use all kinds - big names to foreign imports (from Amazon). I find these great value though it usually takes several weeks for them to arrive. I suppose it is down to different people have different expectations but so far I have not been disappointed.

Diese Maschine hält, was sie verspricht, auch wenn sie etwas teuer ist. Ich benutze sie oft und gerne das einzige Manko die Stand Platten nutzen schnell ab aber wenn man viel macht wird man einmal im Jahr die zehn Euro haben um sich neue Platten zu kaufen. Ich würde diese Maschine jedem Basteler empfehlen

I absolutely love my Sizzix Big Shot. It's easy to use, reliable, and has become my go-to machine for card making and other paper crafts. I also own a Cricut, but if I just need to emboss something, cut a few shapes or complete a quick project, I almost always reach for my Big Shot. It's so much faster than getting out the Cricut, setting everything up, and opening the software. Sometimes simple is just better. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the storage design. I wish it folded up like the Stampin' Up! version because it does take up a fair amount of space. My craft room is already pretty crowded, so a more compact storage option would be a huge plus. Even with that minor drawback, it's one of my favorite crafting tools and one I reach for again and again. If you enjoy card making, scrapbooking, or other paper crafts, I highly recommend it.

Fonctionne très bien, les découpes sont parfaites. Néanmoins, j'ai rencontré une petite difficulté lorsque j'ai voulu embosser. Tantôt il me manquait une légère épaisseur, tantôt ça ne passait pas sous le rouleau. J'ai donc ajouté une simple feuille cartonnée en plus du jeu de plaque pour obtenir un bon résultat. Ça se joue à pas grand chose !
