Great value chronograph by Timex.
This is a long way from being my most expensive watch but it is right up there with being one of the good looking watches and it is a serious chronograph the second hand that runs all the time is at the 6:00 position and the large sweep hand only runs when you are timing something, many have the recorded seconds on one of the sub dials which makes them difficult to read reliably. The watch will time up to 30 minutes to an accuracy of 0.05 seconds. It is a lovely looking watch that is reasonably waterproof and comfortable to wear. The nice leather strap is a bit of luxury and on top of all this, it has a night light for telling the time in the dark. It's a great watch and excellent value for money.

Beautiful watch
Beautiful watch, the sub dials make it a bit hard read but that's the design and the look is pretty stunning. The strap is quality suede/leather and matches the look perfectly. Fits well on the wrist and is a perfect everyday casual watch that looks good and a lot more expensive than it actually is. Well worth the cost.

Changed my opinion of Timex
TLDR: Avoid like the plague! I’ve owned a number of Timex watches over the years including an older, basic Expedition model, and my opinion was that they were decent, reasonably accurate watches for the money. So on that basis I ordered this model. This Expedition 43mm chronograph changed my opinion. I’ve tried three of these watches now and all three had to be returned due to poor timekeeping. Before unpacking a watch I performed a basic test - set the time to match a radio clock I have and leave it for 24 hours. To be within manufacturers specs. it must not gain or lose more than about half a second per day (+-20 sec. per month). All three passed this test. Watch no. 1 was unpacked and strapped to my wrist. Three hours later and it was running 20 minutes slow. The watch was duly repacked and returned and a replacement ordered. Watch no. 2 lost about 5 seconds per hour when on my wrist - way outside manufacturer specifications - so it was duly repacked and returned. Watch no. 3 randomly lost 5 seconds while still packed in its box. By now I’ve lost confidence in this particular Timex model so, since I got it on try before you buy, I just returned it without even unboxing it. So my experience suggests that Timex have really gone downhill with their quality and reliability. It’ll be a long time before I again consider buying a Timex watch. In fact the quality is so poor that the question “are these REALLY genuine Timex watches?” springs to mind. It’s a shame because I think it’s a nice looking watch.

Good watch!
This watch feels very hefty, especially if you’re used to cheap resin cased casios. Everything is made of stainless steel treated to look black, and you can really tell. I expected the bezel and crystal to get pretty scratched up as I’m not the most carful with my watches, but they have actually survived well. In fact I haven’t gotten a single scratch on the crystal and not for lack of trying, the bezel deflects anything coming towards it pretty well. The dial looks great but the luminous material is really bad, this is not a problem though because you can push in the crown and the whole dial lights up, it looks class. The chronograph runs well, it’s not the best thing in the world but it does the job, but sadly the big second hand was not aligned to a marker on my watch. This is not abnormal for these watches when they arrive, you can move the hands when the chronograph crown is out using the pushers but my chronograph second hand was in fixable using this method. I did have one other issue with the watch, I dropped it a very short distance onto carpet and the seconds hand fell off, this was my fault and I sent it into a watch maker and he fixed it for £10 in about an hour. I also got him to realign the chronograph second hand. Now my watch looks great and I love wearing it. For the price this watch is as expected, in a world of cheap consumer electronics being made from plastics and not being made to last I feel this watch tries to not be disposable in that way. If you like the look of it then it’s worth buying.

Looks, Quality appearance & feel.
Recieved a birthday voucher fom a friend, saw this watch & really like the Altimeter look of it, its weighty, looks great & will remind me of the kind gestue from a long time friend. Been wearing for a couple of weeks all seems fine the strap feels noce & comfortable, seems to be keeping time correctly, (we have a radio controlled clock that self corrects) it has stayed in time with that. A few people have commented on how "Designer" it looks I am very happy with it, no problems so far. So yes based on my experience so far I would recommend.

Fantastic watch for the adventurous man!
This is a truly fanctasic watch! I took this watch on a 7 month trip around the world last year Doing nine county's in total from wet tropical weather to freezing cold mountainous weather and it really took a beating! You can get this thing wet and I mean wet I did one hell of a lot of snorkelled and shallow free Diveing easly going down 15 ft under water and it handled it just fine. One thing I will say is I accidentally left the time dial out before swimming on day and water got in so make sure the dail is not open before you go to swim (this is something that rairly happens haha i silly mistake on my part) I was sent a new one when I got home and still wear it on any holiday and out door endeavours! Fishing, hiking, boating etc... I fully recommend this watch to any outdoors man And like I said this thing can haddle the water well full thumbs up from me 👍

Klockan ska ha något som heter Indiglow. Belysning från urtavlan. Den fungerar inte. I övrigt fungerar klockan.

Very pleased. Considering the dimensions, I worried this would be too big (7inch wrist) but it looks really great. I think it would be fine on a 6.5 inch wrist and up. Band is super comfortable, and watch feels much higher quality than I paid. My only complaint is that the 3rd extra dial for 1/20th chrono time is kind of stupid and unnecessary. Would be better to have a day of the week dial here instead. Overall great watch and definitely recommend.

Just love this watch. It’s a little larger dial than the “typical” 38mm,which is what I was looking for. Works perfectly. Keeps decently accurate time, solid built metal case and glass crystal. Leather strap not too stiff so break in is not really a concern. I like Timex best for reliability, features and price. Plus it’s easy to change readily available batteries (which last about 1-2 years). Getting lots of compliments on it. One small oddity, what should be the second hand is actually a tachometer/chronograph function. The second hand is actually a smaller dial near the 6 o’clock position. Seems odd especially if you’ve never owned a hand sweep chronograph watch. Not a big deal just need to retrain your brain for the second hand. Timex has been my go to watch for years now and I’ve never had an issue with them except the occasional band or battery replacement. I wear them to work and am NOT easy on them at all. They just work. In my opinion, they are a great value. Moderate watches typically cost well over $100, Timex’s core watches are about 1/2 that price usually. Although the company has ventured into the upscale watch arena a few years ago and are also value packed and very good looking, some costing as much as $1000! For my daily driver kind of budget, I’ll stick with their core line basic watches thanks
