If I paint this on a sheet of glass will a light shine threw it from behind

Yes they are quite translucent. The more coats you apply the more opaque it gets. But one or two thin coats will allow a back light through - a stained glass effect.

What are the best types of paintbrushes to use on glass with this paint? Ones that dont leave streaks? Thanks

I use fine brushes but not expensive ones as they don't last as long with glass paint.

Hi, if you follow the instructions and bake the bottles they wash fine. I've painted drinking glasses and there is no problem. I hand wash rather than dish wash them though.

It will depend if you can heat the lampshade, if its got metal attached to it then you can't. But if you are not intending to need to wash it frequently like a plate then in my experience it should last several years. Hope this helps.
