The battery charger case is clever. My other earbuds can give better sound, but they are not wireless eg Audeze isine20 and no noise isolation or ACS with custom ear molds with great noise isolation but not wireless. Review: Great product ( after Firmware update 4.2.0 Release Date 16-04-2019 ) - Got it 5 day ago, immediately used it for 3+ hours watching TV until the battery completely discharged. Today used it again for an outdoor run. No problem whatsoever. Fit is very good and secure, sounds good, NC is good for both indoor and outdoor environment. Bluetooth keeps its connection all the time. For indoor use, i went to bathroom a couple of times while the TV in the family room (at least 30 ft), and the audio never disrupted. For outdoor use, i kept my phone in my pocket all the time, no problem encountered. The only reason for the 4 star is the limited battery run time. For this size, i believe Sony could/should have made it last at least 5+ hours. Oh well, i will buy another pair so that one is being charged while the other is in use. ## Features - Industry leading wireless noise cancellation (please see below product description for disclaimer) - Chargeable carrying case for up to 9 hours battery life (3 hours battery life and 2x3 hours charges with case) - Truly wireless hands-free calls, listen free from wires and unwanted background noise with one of the industry leading noise cancellation - Smart auto-settings to optimise listening settings automatically based on user's behaviour - Connection strength may fluctuate depending on the environment and the specification and/or settings of connected devices such as smartphones, WF-1000X connectivity can be improved by switching the sound quality mode setting from priority on sound quality to priority on stable connection within the Sony headphones connect companion app, available for Android or iOS devices; as with all Sony products, it is recommended you always keep your devices updated with the latest available software, as and when notifications of availability are received; such notifications will be delivered to WF-1000X via the Sony headphones connect companion app, available on Google Play and Apple App Store - Alexa built-in devices let you instantly connect to Alexa to play music, control your smart home, get information, news, weather, and more using just your voice. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B074X4CWW1 | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Antenna Location | [IN] Insufficient information to provide a precise value. | | Battery Average Life | 3 Hours | | Battery Charge Time | 3 Hours | | Bluetooth Range | 10 Metres | | Bluetooth Version | 4.1 | | Box Contents | Protective Case | | Brand | Sony | | Brand Name | Sony | | Cable Features | Detachable | | Carrying Case Color | Champagne | | Colour | Gold | | Compatible Devices | Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops | | Control Method | App | | Customer Reviews | 3.5 out of 5 stars 196 Reviews | | Ear placement | In Ear | | Earpiece Shape | Rounded Tips | | Enclosure Material | Silicone Rubber | | Form factor | In Ear | | Frequency Range | 20 Hz - 20,000 Hz | | Frequency Response | 20000 Hz | | Frequency response | 20000 Hz | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04548736063198 | | Headphone Form Factor | In Ear | | Headphones Ear Placement | In Ear | | Is Electric | Yes | | Item Weight | 0.07 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Sony | | Model Name | WF-1000X | | Model Number | WF-1000X | | Network Connectivity Technology | Wireless | | Noise Control | Active Noise Cancellation | | Noise control | Active Noise Cancellation | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Features | android_phone_control | | Specific Uses For Product | Travel, Music | | Style Name | Closed-Back | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | | Wireless Technology Type | NFC | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sony - **Colour:** Gold - **Connectivity technology:** Wireless - **Ear placement:** In Ear - **Form factor:** In Ear - **Frequency response:** 20000 Hz - **Included components:** Protective Case - **Model name:** WF-1000X - **Noise control:** Active Noise Cancellation - **Wireless communication technology:** NFC ## Images ![Sony WF-1000X Truly Wireless In-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones - Gold, with Alexa built-in - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51+lWNRUUML.jpg) ![Sony WF-1000X Truly Wireless In-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones - Gold, with Alexa built-in - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51N8alEX9oL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: is there any lag in sound/speech when watching youtube, movies or tv?** A: Yes heavy lag- watching tv and youtube isnt really viable. **Q: Can I buy the charging case anywhere? I lost mine :(** A: Hi, unfortunately you cannot buy these separately from what i understand. Your best bet will be to contact Sony and ask to talk to their repair centre, they can most probably order you a new one but being SONY they will charge you one hell of a price. It would not surprise me if you had to pay close to £100 for a replacement. Best thing to do is just buy a second hand pair of Amazon market place if available. This way you get some spare earphones too and i promise you will cost less than buying just the battery pack from SONY. **Q: Are these compatable with the nw-a55l?** A: Yes. They are compatible with any Bluetooth device **Q: Can you hear in both earbuds while talking over the phone?** A: Hi Vik, Depending on the smartphone app, you will hear a voice from the left unit only, but you may not able to hear a voice from the right unit. I bought these with high expectations. Sound quality is great but that's no good if the earphones won't stay connected. The right speaker has constant dropouts if you're moving. Sitting still on my commute and they're rock solid, but start to move and they drop out continuously. I upgraded the firmware and then tried switching to stable mode via the app but to no avail. This was all attemtped on a Samsung Galaxy S8 They are going back for a refund. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/47934872-sony-wf-1000x-truly-wireless-in-ear-noise-cancelling-headphones](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/47934872-sony-wf-1000x-truly-wireless-in-ear-noise-cancelling-headphones) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
