Super torch. Small but that's good for young children, and nice and bright. Also good for older children for use just as a torch as it has got a bright light and is just blue without any 'childish' branding (11 year old happy to use it for a twilight at the museums event). The discs work really well too projecting lots of super images - they are very clear you just need to twist the white front of the torch to focus them. Went down very well with my boys and would definitely recommend, I even bought one to give a friend for a birthday gift (though in a different design) which I know she also loved. Perfect for toddlers to teens!

I think it is very good quality for something like this and for its price! The images are not as dinky as one might expect from such tiny reels and a tiny torch. They are on average about 20-25 cm in width. You can focus the image by twisting the lens. It's easy to operate - my three year old managed it fine on his first go. There are a variety of images, ranging from pictures of satellites, rocket launches, landing on the moon, astronauts suspended in space to nebulae, galaxies, and more predictable ones of saturn, the moon, earth from space etc. Colours are not of course crystal clear, but they are sufficiently vivid for something like this. Not as faded as one might expect from old pictures taken from the NASA archive. There were "ooohs" and "aaahs" from my 3 and 5 year olds.# Just wanted to edit my review to make it clear that the images are sharpest when they are about 25cm, but actually if projected from afar, you get a much larger image (about 70cm for a still decent image) and they aren't bad at all. Still sufficiently clear and enjoyable to look at. I enjoy lying down with my son at bedtime staring at the images on the ceiling, and he finds them fascinating.

Nice idea but very small pictures, they are detailed but tiny. My grandson likes it.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my seven year old nephew and he really loved it. Very educational and and keeps kids busy.

I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter. It was way smaller than I expected from the pictures in the advert. It does work, but is much too fiddly for her to operate by herself. It comes in a small cardboard box and there is nowhere to keep the little discs safe once the box was open. The quality of the slides are very variable which is frustrating for a 5 Yr old who is fascinated by space.

You can project the images onto the ceiling or walls. Works really well in the dark winter evenings and mornings too. This nifty little contraption can be used when your little one is tucked up in bed, and they can create their own magical "slide show" projecting on the wall or ceiling. The images are not crystal clear but they are acceptable. The torch can be used on its own too. Great value for money.

I purchased this for my then 2 and a half year old godson about a year ago. I am determined that he will be a massive geek and love all things science related. Best get started with the brainwashing early I say. I purchased both the Space Torch and the Dinosaur torch. The discs are interchangeable with either torch. The images project onto ceilings or walls brilliantly. You can adjust the focus to get a nice crisp image. Getting the discs in is a bit fiddly and but once inserted, you rotate the disc to see the next image. They were an instant hit with my godson. His parents periodically "misplace" the torches so they could be rediscovered. Any time they reappear, he's just as excited as the first day he received it. As he gets older, we are able to talk more about the images he's seeing...what the different dinosaur names are, what the different galaxies look like, etc. I'm looking forward to what he comes up with in the years ahead.

I wasn't expecting to be impressed but I really am- I've taken it out and had a go- mainly to check for batteries etc before Christmas day. The pictures are bright and colourful and held the attention of 3 adults with lots of "oohs" and "ahhs" and "what nebula is that?" - Il leave that to my expert 4 year old to tell me. Yes you could search similar pictures on a tablet etc but this is much better for play. Imagine being a child tucked up in bed and shining this on the wall- you're travelling in a space craft looking out the cockpit aren't you?! Only down side is it takes those button batteries which although you can get cheap they're pretty poor quality- I'd prefer AA/AAA - from a safety point of view too. ( battery case is secured by screw but that's yet to deter my particular crotch goblin)

Very cool! Similar to the view master we grew up with but even better. Smaller than expected but not an issue for us.

Fantastica, è esattamente quello che ci si aspetta se si leggono le informazioni prima di acquistare. Si tratta di una piccola torcia che ha lateralmente un meccanismo che permette di infilare le rotelline con le immagini. A seconda della distanza della superficie su cui si proietta può essere necessario mettere a fuoco ruotando la parte superiore della torcia (è molto semplice). Le immagini sono molto belle e varie (una rotellina ha più pianeta, una più galassie e una più foto di astronauti, navicelle e lanci. Molto carine davvero. Forse per un bambino di 1 anni è ancora troppo presto, per lui sono meglio le rotelline che hanno dei disegni di astronauti e pianeti, ma per bimbi più grandi è perfetto....e anche per gli adulti che si vogliono rilassare guardando lo spazio al buio :) P.S. Acquistato tramite Amazon Warehouse Deals, è perfetto.

Ich wollte für meinen Neffen eine Kleinigkeit für den Adventskalender und bin bei der suche auf diese Taschenlampe gestoßen. Ich muss sagen sie ist besser als ich dachte. Ich hab natürlich diese Bilder gesehen die die Taschenlampe erzeugen soll war aber skeptisch ob die wirklich so schön ,wie sie auf den Fotos dargestellt sind, auch wirklich sind. Als das Päckchen kam hab ich es gleich ausprobiert und ich muss sagen es ist wirklich so. Die Bilder sind richtig klasse sie sind auch scharf und die Farben sind schön leuchtend, so gut hätte ich es nicht gedacht. Ich kann sie nur weiter empfehlen. Nur noch ein kleiner Hinweis, weil das nicht so richtig beschrieben ist. Das weiße vorne an der Taschenlampr kann man drehen und dient dafür die Bilder scharf zu stellen.
