Was trying very hard to remember the film these little fellows reminded me of when I got them, Young Sherlock Holmes.. someones been hit by the hallucinogen and all the little statues come alive, fingers crossed these come alive, I rather fancy some pet dragons. Very nicely made, heavy in the hand, excellent small details. Recommended for gothic decor fans who have a lot of books.

These bookends are so nice, they look and feel like stone, they’re nice & heavy & keep all my Manga together nicely and they look great. They were packaged nicely & arrived in perfect condition.

Product itself - fairly hefty and sturdy. The paintwork leaves a bit more to be desired with some translucent residue leftover from the manufacturing. The actual sculpting is top-notch. I really love the cheesy over-exagerated gothic look. The two dragons aren't mirrored off each other. Each one came from a different mould. That's a really nice touch. In terms of function - fairly heavy and big book ends. They do their job perfectly. My only problem was with the translucent residue, but it's not very visible.Packaging - buyers beware. My item came in a box which had very clearly been opened then poorly resealed by (I assume) customs. The box said it had originally shipped from the USA. I don't know if it was opened before it came to the Amazon depot or after it got to Royal Mail. The box had some numbers on it, and some writing saying RESEAL. The Amazon seal had been ripped off and stuck back down with sellotape. Very poor packaging and way below Amazon's usual standard. What's worse is the figurine had been damaged. One of the wing tips on the left dragon was chipped off. The base was also scrapped. The styrofoam packing was missing one of its half (probably taken out when it got opened) and the two bookends had rattled inside during shipment. 0/10 on packaging

Aesthetically pleasing they are a perfect addition to any bookshelf and are exactly as described by the seller. Delighted with my purchase!

Gorgeous displayed on their own or beside bioks. And as good quality as you could get from mock stone carved pieces

They are not as heavy as expected, but look great. They wouldn't hold back a heavy load of books from falling though.

I absolutely love the look of these bookends and was extremely happy when they arrived. We use them for library books on our landing but I wouldn’t advise using them to prop up any tall books, when the kids took a book out the rest leaned on one end and knocked it over which broke the wing. Luckily a bit of superglue sorted it out but I now have metal L shaped book ends to support the books and these as decoration
