Short but high quality
I own all of JP's dvd's and most of their albums. The audio and video quality of this blu-ray is fantastic, and a huge improvement on the previous ones. Apart from Live Vengeance '82 it is also the best Rob has ever sounded. He must have been spending a considerable amount of time with some top vocal coach! Rob is still, after all these years, the best heavy metal vocalist ever! Back to the show. All the songs are executed fantastically as we have come to expect from the Priest. My only gripe is that they did not perform some of the other gems of the Redeemer Of Souls album, for example Cold Blooded, Secrets Of The Dead or Down In Flames. How many more versions of Breaking The Law, Living After Midnight, Metal Gods and Hell Bent For Leather do we really need? And will we ever see them performing on dvd that superb power ballad Before The Dawn? Despite the improved video and audio quality of this blu-ray, I prefer Epitaph which has a better selection of songs and is a much longer show.

The Best is back!
The live set from Judas Priest at Wakken Festival 2015 and an additional 3 bonus tracks from their gig in Gdansk, Poland. This is Priest at full power showcasing a few tracks from the "Redeemer Of Souls" album along with most of their classic tracks from their massive back catalogue (pity we can't her them all, isn't it?). Rob Halford seems back in fine voice again after a period of apparently struggling with the high notes (completely understandable after all these years!). In fact, he looks exhausted when he screams the track "Painkiller"! When it comes to traditional Heavy Metal. I still think Priest are the best. If you know Priest, just buy this. It's worth every penny!

Priest still delivers
Priest deliver a high quality show.Small flaws are acceptable, as Halford cannot hit the hi notes anymore. He has adjusted his singing technic to his age.A great show to watch. Priest may be reaching the end of their career, but it's hard to tell when it's gonna happen. To get some perspective, Priest are better live than during their during their comeback tour in 2005.

Unleashed in Germany.
A stunning return to form for the Priest after the brilliant-but vocally patchy Epitaph....Rob seems to have been reborn over the past 3 years.his demeanour, stance, moves, vocals all have gone up a notch and he appears to be really enjoying himself....the whole band is on fire,a great set/song list...can`t fault it visually/musically but.......a rather staid Wacken audience does not help,a few more songs from Redeemer of Souls would have been nice also I could do without Rob`s Freddie Mercury sing-a-long-with-me skit......and only a 93 minute set.............minor quibbles aside, one of THE best live Priest dvd recordings.....great to hear Jawbreaker/Devils Child as well.

Battle Cry
Apart from the newer Redeemer of Souls tunes this is fairly standard Priest stuff, sound wise the band are on top form, guitars sound awesome and Halfords vocals seem smoother. Set list is a mix of old and new songs with three extra tracks consisting of Screaming for Vengeance, The Rage & Desert Plains. I enjoyed it for the fact that I saw Priest on this tour in Manchester but one for diehard Priest fans only.

But just like in the 'Epitaph' concert film
Did this concert recording meet my expectations? Yes - and no: the band played well and Rob Halford sang well. But just like in the 'Epitaph' concert film, the guitars are too muted and too far back in the mix?! Judas Priest is one of the prime Heavy Metal bands in the world - why is their recorded live sound severely lacking the gutsy, midrange guitar punch we've come to know and love? I cannot get my head around the choice and format of the sound mix here. We are metal fans!! We are not afraid of crunchy guitars, for the love of (Metal) God!!
