Can i use this in a car for a portable ps4?

id recommend the 400watt as ps4s especially the older ones use more than 200w

If the lead was not long enough would it still work using an extension?

Ive never tryed it, but in theory i would say yes. But i would not use a long extension for safety and make sure everthing is uncoiled.
