It was easy to apply and mould to the shape of the missing details before it set hard, applying water smoothed the surface of it. After it had set I could still carve and sand the putty to get it looking even better. It adhered to the old frame very well. I then gilded the terracotta coloured putty and the repairs are hardly visible, I would highly recommend this product. This did cause some terracotta staining of the gloves which were always destined for the dustbin but my hands were fine. It was easy to apply and mould and held well it has filled the crack.
