are the socks included, and what size do I need I'm a 10-12?

Hi Socks aren't included. You should try the Small first as that goes to a size 10.

Is is true too size, I'm petite and usually size 6 (UK size) and worried the 4-6 won't fit properly

I got 8-10 and I'm usually an 8 and it fit great 😊

What size should a 6ft dude get ?

The size cannot be determined by your height but moreso your build/frame Hopd this has helped

How short is the dress

Not that short just above the knee . I am 5 foot 4 so will be shorter if you are taller .
