But have to say that we have been delighted with our system - the cassettes need to be replaced around every 2 - 3 weeks so it works out around £4 a month for a cassette which is pretty inexpensive and well worth it to have a smell free bathroom! System is really easy to use. I have empty it twice a week as it gets full after about 4 days but you simply open it up, pull and cut (cutter is in the system) and then remove your nappies in their bag and dispose of them. Then just tie a knot in the continuous bag left in the system and you're good to go for another four days. In terms of effectiveness in killing odours, even when the room has been shut up for the day in the summer we've returned to a smell free environment so we have been very pleased with ours! The product detail is ambiguous, part says 28nappies, other part says 1 months, 180nappies.** A: The cassette is dispensed in stages. So I estimate that a "tube" when pulled out that fills the inside of the nappy bin will hold about 20 nappies. Then you tie the end off and put that tube in the bin and pull some more of the plastic through to make a new tube. I guess you get about six of those, so logically that means it will hold about 120 nappies. I guess if you were frugal with the plastic (make a small knot in the bottom etc) then a cassette could probably take 180. I am sure that when they say 28, they mean how many will go into the nappy bin before you need to empty it, but that would certainly make it very full! **Q: Do these work in a Diaper Genie bin?** A: Hi The Angelcare Nappy Cassettes are specifically designed to work in the Angelcare Nappy Bins only. As a result we have not tested them with other brands of Nappy Bins. We are sorry we were unable to advise further with this query.
