Onapplianceparts Universal Cooker Hood Filters With Grease Saturation Indicator

I bought these to replace my old cooker hood filters. They arrived in 1 pieces which was perfect because I could cut off the amount I needed and there was no waste. My old ones were a foam type but these are flat and have been very good at keeping the grease and dirt particles away from the main fan so far. They allow the smoke and steam to pass through easily and you can see it being sucked through. I am happy overall and will be purchasing again once I need some.

The filter IS NOT what I wanted: thought that I was ordering, and NOT as it was described: it is thin paper rather then the genuine Magic Filter fabric. At the price, I could not be bothered to return it. But this company will not (repeat WILL NOT) be receiving any more business from me.Come to that, Amazon will be noticing a distinct decrease in my orders from the. Caveat Emptor.

This all very frustrating. When I click on my orders, the product shown to me is definitely not the same as the one I have received. Also, the instructions on the packaging don't appear to describe the product accurately. "Insert with the striped side INSIDE" I am told. But there is no "striped side". There is one side with dots printed on it, but these are not "grey" as the stripes are apparently supposed to be. Also, the instructions on the packaging and on the filter itself completely contradict one another, so I have no idea which way round I'm supposed to insert the filter. A waste of money.

I may be a bit premature with this review because it will be some time before I can tell if this filter is as efficient as the one I have just removed from my extractor fan. However, on first inspection these filters do not seem to be very substatial, by that I mean they are very thin and flimsy. So much so, I found it difficult to keep it flat when fitting the retaining clips. The instructions also say, "the striped side of the filter is to be on the inside." Guess what? There's no stripes on either side of the filter.. Just for clarification, the actual filters bear no resemblance to the illustration (which looks very like my old filter!) so I think there could be some dubious practice going on here. Could return them I suppose but for the price I paid it's not worth the effort.

The product I actually received is a single sheet with dimensions 970mm x 470mm. This leaves it slightly smaller than would be required for your typical 570mm wide extractor hood. The dimensions and product weight at time of writing are also incorrect. The size of the packets received were approx 300mmx22mmx10mm. The product also weighs a few tens of grams rather than the 250g mentioned. All in all not happy because the product supplied is not consistent with the product description advertised.

This is the second time I ordered this. The size is not clear in descriptions. Actual size is 55cm×60cm. £4.30 for 2 pcs is not good value as you can get this size for half the price. However this filter seems last longer than ones I bought from other seller.

Really pleased with these cooker hood filters. Item as described, very quick delivery and a good price. What I particularly like about these filters is that there are clear instructions on how to fit them! I know this may seem a little unusual but I do not always know which side goes up or down. As with all filters, you simply cut to size. I have only just started to use them so I'm not sure how long they will last. Most definitely highly recommended as a purchase.

What can you say about a cooker hood grease filter! This product is inexpensive and does the job. Exactly the same as the factory fitted filter as far as we can see. Easy to trim to size and fit. Far superior to cheaper filters we have bought in the past. Would have given the product five stars, but it has only been fitted for 2 days, so impossible to tell if the grease indicator actually changes colour and if so, how soon it changes.
