Powerful and does the basics
Easy to assemble but the parts get a little stiff after a few uses if you take it apart for storage or change the adaption at the end etc. Cable could be a bit longer as I had to unplug everytime I changed room. Doesn't get into the corners or edges and pushes stuff around the floor on hard floors rather than sucking it up, so I have to hold it at an angle or sort of drop it onto dirt to get it up. Works fine on carpets. Considerably powerful for the price. Would get a better one next time as the design isn't great.

-) And to my disappointment..
I bought and receive this Hoover for some time now, but only used it on Sunday. It's because I had new carpet laid and didn't see the need to hoover sooner. :-) And to my disappointment...while hovering, I noticed a stain on the carpet, after I finished my hoovering, I decide to use a cloth, water and bleach to remove the stain, to my surprise, there were lots of hair particles still on the carpet. I used the wet cloth to pass over the carpet in the bedroom and the amount of hair that was still on the carpet. So that means the hoover did not remove the hair or not strong enough to pick up all the hair. My sister asked...so what does the hoover remove then? Good question. If you are looking for a good, powerful and affordable hoover, please, please do not purchase this one. I have to go over stuff twice or three times for the hoover to pick things up. I am looking to purchase another...or if it is possible to be refunded.

An honest and fair review
I read some of the reviews and thought it couldn't be THAT bad surely, its Russell Hobbs so its never going to be a Dyson, maybe people have their expectations set too high, is barely £30 so its not going to be great. The first thing you notice is the plastic, its that brittle plastic - like outdoor wine glasses - If it fell on a hard floor from waist height it would surely break something. To be fair, the suction is fairly good - I wasn't expecting much, but its OK. But its clearly not meant for carpets and i dint buy it for that. I brought it for the un-carpeted areas of the house - laminate floor, lino, floorboards and tiles. The noise of the vacuum head grinding across the floor is pretty toe curling - it would surely benefit from soft velvet patches on the bottom of the head.I've just used it for the 2nd time today and the noise is like finger nails across a blackboard... not the actual vacuum motor, its like an air leak, really horrid. On the plus side, it is nice and light. Also the 7m cord is a decent size, allowing you to get from one room to another without having to constantly unplug and replug.I would be surprised if it lasted 12 months, and i probably wouldn't buy another one.

Not a bad little unit for the price
Had this to vacuum my wooden floor with 2 German long haired shepherds. Used 4 times a day ! Suction with normal t-head is fine for the wooden floor and sucks dog hairs up from 2-3 inches away from the head . The t head attachment is not great on carpet . BUT if you swap the t head for the narrow end piece supplied, it will adequately pick up all your bits of sock bobbles that get left on carpets ! I wouldn't want to go cleaning my carpet with this small end though . Motor gets a bit hot and the collection chamber is relatively easy to unload into a bin . T head is great for getting under sofas etc and around my table and chairs(see photo) . The 7 metre chord means I now don't have to plug surf as per my previous stick type vacuum ( handle snapped and wheel fell off !) would I recommend it ... yes if you just want to pick up bits from a hard floor , in my case dog hair . Would I want to use it for a carpeted room .. ummm No , not with the t shaped head as I don't think it's powerful enough . But swap with the narrow attachment and you should be ok but will take a while depending on size of room ! Quality of build is average /good .

An excellent vacuum cleaner. I highly recommend it!
This is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It's fairly light, very powerful, and the filter doesn't clog easily, when it does, it is easy to clean. Here are some of the things it takes right up without a problem: hair, dust, paper: up to the thickness of card though it seems like it can take heavier, those thick waves of lint from dryer filters, finger and toe nails, fallen peas and assorted kitchen debris, these are just some of the things I've noticed on emptying it out.Which brings us to the downside, emptying this out is a bit annoying. Hair and dust gets stuck with ease inside the canister and often needs to be pulled out. Yuck. But the only bagless vacuum that seems to have solved this is the Dyson V8, which costs about 400 or 500 pounds more than this. I think I can just wash my hands thanks. The canister itself is 0.5 liters and fills up fast if you're doing the whole house, I needed to empty it about 3 times. Mostly I just use it to clean my room and the surrounding area and for that purpose it's perfect. All in all, I am very pleased with this vacuum. The suction power is strong, I was surprised given its size. I am confident it could pull up just about anything. It's naturally a bit stronger when you take off the vacuum rod and floor cleaning head, but even with that on its plenty powerful. Do note, that you only get 2 attachments, the floor cleaning head (which is really meant for hard floors), and the dusting nozzle head, which comes with a sliding brush that clicks into place when you slide it to the end. I couldn't find an adaptor that fit this vacuum to allow for other heads, I really wanted a separate dusting brush for my computer and desktop and a separate upholstery brush for my bed. The adaptor I bought didn't fit.

Didn’t last very long
So the first time I ordered this product it lasted less than a week before it stopped working. The replacement vacuum cleaner lasted another a few months before it again just completely stopped working. It’s a shame because it is really easy to use and I was looking for a light vacuum cleanser , a very good price and worked well on laminated floors (not so well on rugs though).
