No More Butter, Margerine and Oil! Yay!!
I am so pleased to have finally bought an organic, virgin cold pressed coconut oil, at an affordable price! After being recently tested and discovering that my cholesterol is sky high, I asked myself what could be the cause, as I haven't eaten meat, fish and eggs for two years. I had to conclude that it's the butter which I've been spreading on four slices of toast every single day. So after hearing that coconut oil is a healthy substitute for butter and margerine, I first bought a tub of refined coconut oil from the supermarket, which costed £2.50. It provided a decent substitute for the butter, but I was bothered about the fact that it had absolutely no smell whatsoever, and I knew that the organic, cold pressed coconut oils smelled like coconut. So I couldn't help but wonder what else the refining process had stripped out of the oil, along with the smell. I finished that tub anyway, and decided to get an organic cold pressed one next - which turned out to be this one. Well, I am hugely impressed with the difference! This one has a mild and not overpowering scent of coconut, so it doesn't make my sandwiches taste like coconut, I only taste the food that's been put into the sandwiches. And it's got a beautifully smooth texture, which makes it wonderful for spreading. I look forward to cooking with it too, as well as using it for oil-pulling, which I've learned helps your gums hold onto your teeth better and is therefore very important and essential for the treatment and/or prevention of gum disease. And it's got so many other health benefits, among them, the consumption of 30ml a day should help you lose fat around your waist, even without restricting your calorie intake. This is all I know about the health benefits so far, and I haven't even scratched the surface! I hope to get around to researching it on the internet soon, as I'm excited to find out exactly how else this oil might be benefitting me. Reading other peoples reviews, some testified that feeding it to their dogs made their coats grow healthy and shiny. Well surely that should do the same for our hair? My hair really needs help! So how much do I consume to get that effect? I'll have to research it to find out. Yes, I've also heard about how beneficial coconut oil is applied topically onto your hair and skin, but I'm not rushing to apply it to my hair yet, I want to first find out how it can benefit my hair through consuming it, because that would provide a far more genuine result by correcting a dietary deficiency. Once having tried that, and having ingested the recommended amount for the recommended amount of time it should take to get optimum results, I'd be very happy to try using it on my hair for any additional benefits. I'm generally very concerned about my health, as I feel I'm lacking many essential nutrients, and finding out about something like natural coconut oil, which, aside from it getting you off butter and oil, is also nutritionally beneficial is an absolute pleasure!

Coconut oil spill
I love this stuff. It is not overpriced and it's the real deal. I use this in my hair and leave it for one night before washing it. Let me tell you now, girl this will make your hair look like some pantene advert. Soft, smooth and shiny. The real S's to success. I use it on my body too to give me that glow. I be Glistening all over like a fairy. However, get a tissue and hear my struggle, I was trying to open the jar lid because it can be quite stiff and I put full arm strength into opening this. Keep in mind that it was hot outside so the whole jar had melted into a liquid and I forgot. So, after opening the lid, the jar swung out of control with the other hand and literally the whole contents of the jar spilt out onto the floor. :( RIP coconut oil. I am so sorry for wasting you like that. BE CAREFUL WHEN OPENING. It took me forever to clean the floor that was covered in coconut oil

Trusty Coconut Oil
I have used a couple of different coconut oils over the years but I found this one about 3-4 years ago and it's the best one imo. 1 big jar lasted me all the way through uni. I am now about to start my 3rd jar! I have long hair and use this for oil treatments the night before wash day. It makes my hair lovely and silky. You can tell this is excellent quality coconut oil. I have cooked with it a couple of times and it tasted great although I do not regularly use this for cooking so can only really comment on the hair benefits! Overall it smells nice, not too strong (nice natural coconut smell) and is extremely good for the price. I almost purchased a different brand to try something else but didn't want to risk it as I'm so happy with this one!
