Addis Clip & Close Cereal Container 4L, Single Transparent

Have read so many reviews many made years ago was hard to know if quality has dropped in time that it made my head spin looking for cereal storage Well I took a chance and ordered Addis 4Litre size x 6 as they were offer at a reasonable price I am not disappointed Washed and dried them after easily peeling the one sticky star on lid and the information paper held by a small piece of tape inside A 600g box of Wheats frosted took up just over half one container A 750g box of Readybreak took up half a container A 500g box of nut clusters also filled about half container so would expect them to easily store bigger boxes of small size crispy or cornflake type cereals Did not have wheatabix or shreddied wheat to try but im sure they would hold 2 packs of either in or out of wrapper I am not using these for pasta but thought i would check and 1000g 2 x 500g packs of spiral fitted in easily are not tall enough to hold long spaghetti though They are really solid made strong boxes with an easy grip shape one end The lid is held by 4 clips so you can remove it for washing or filling purpose but also has a flip top for pouring stuff out which makes a lovely click sound when closing could only give 3 stars for durability as I although they look like they will last for years only time will tell UPDATE 5 stars have been using these for nearly a year and they have kept all my cereals better than when left in open box and no plastic taste which I was worried could happen also the flip top part of lid can be clicked back in open position whilst pouring still leaving one hand free bonus no insects can get at your dried food stuff I would definitely buy again

Bought these as didn’t like having cereal boxes out on the side and this is a much neater and fresher way to store them! Easy to clean, easy to open and close and easy to clip lid on and off. Keeps cereal fresher for longer, and is a good addition to the kitchen. Love a good storage box! Would also be brill for pasta or rice/grains etc. Or even sweets. Also, much quieter way to eat cereal without rustling the bag that comes in the boxes - which is a big deal when you’ve got a young baby asleep! Edit: after using for a week I’ve realised they don’t pour very well, the cereal gets stuck in the opening. I have to tip the box back and forth for it to come out properly. This might be specific to the type of cereal I have in it but I would expect all cereal to be able to pour through it. Overall it’s a minor annoyance and not too much of an issue but worth a mention!

Although these are advertised as a cereal container I purchased this specifically for oats. We use a lot of oats for breakfast and I also bake a lot of flapjacks so I always try to keep a lot in. Annoyingly oats always come in a big awkward bag, once opened they are usually spilling out everywhere making a big mess. I just wanted a container that was cheap and did the job and this seemed to fit the bill. Addis have always had a good reputation, especially with their containers. I've had many over the years by this particular brand and they have lasted ages. This particular container is 100% air and liquid tight so no more stale cereal or other foods. It can hold up to 4 litres and has markings on the side of the container so you can measure out what you want. It features 4 lockable clips all the way around the lid which are very simple to undo and equally close again. On the top is a seperate opening (flip lid) making it easy to pour out your dry food or liquids without making a mess. The back of the container has a ridge either side, this is very handy as I keep it up high so it makes it easier to grip. Although I purchased this one for oats I would definitely buy more for the cereals as my family seem to have the habit of not closing the boxes properly resulting in stale cereal. The container is not completely see through, it has a slight haze which I prefer as it looks tidier. This item is dishwasher safe and freezer safe (if you have a big enough freezer to store it) Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and will be buying more. As a prime customer I received this the next day which is ideal, I would definitely recommend this container

Have loads of these. Very sturdy, firm clicks. Never had any problems, would order a load more. Love these.

This is a top quality container, strong, sturdy, great clips for holding top and lid on. Easy to clean and definitely looks the part, well worth the money and should have bought one ages ago. It will hold a 750g box of cereal just nicely. Fully recommended.

I use this product for storing 750g or 1kg bags of cereals such as Alpen and Fruit & Fibre. It is just as easy to clean and dry as any other "tupperware"-style product. I am sure it is airtight but, without a vacuum pump, it is bound to have air inside it unless full to the brim with cereal. That is why I put the cereal bag, sealed with a clip, inside the product, thus providing two layers of airtight protection. As you can see from my second photo, this box fits into a fairly small space if stored on its side. It is quite sturdy and good value for the price.

Habe mir bereits mehrere dieser Behälter zugelegt für die unterschiedlichsten Sachen. Hundefutter, Cornflakes,…etc. Hält ewig frisch und klappt super zu portionieren. Behältergröße ist so groß, dass eine normale Cornflakes Packung ungefähr die Hälfte des Behälters einnimmt.

Quello che cercavo. Contiene circa 2,5 kg di crocchette per il mio bassotto. Per la cronaca le monge.

È molto comodo, non troppo grande, ci sta comodamente un pacco di cereali di qualunque marca e quantità. È molto carino anche da lasciare a vista su una mensola e per il prezzo che ha è fantastico
