Will never use a standard bulb again
Fitted on 10th February, the first bulb has blown on 25th of April. I do 30+ hours of night driving a week but I did expect them to last maybe a little bit longer. I do have a very awkward car to change the headlight bulbs so did require a lot of fiddling on the bulb that has blown so maybe I've caused a premature failure. As for the brightness, they really do illuminate the road alot better than a standard bulb, you notice this most on unlit roads. Color isn't the priority with this bulb, vision is so, if you're looking for a white bulb go for white vision.Overall I'd highly recommend these, as I do more night driving than the average user will I won't dock a star for the short lived bulb but will be waiting to see how long the other lasts.

Superb bulbs providing a definite improvement in night driving.
Great bulbs and definitely an improvement over the OEM bulbs on the brightness front, highly recommended. I use these all the time now, I do 18k miles / year. The trade off is longevity, I’m ok with this but if you are looking for long life these are probably not what you need. I reckon a 3-4 fold life reduction over OEM. Original OEM bulbs were still good at 45k when I changed them. These last around 14k.Not the best way to judge bulb life so that’s a rough guide.Ease of fitment, lower score but this is due to my car rather than the bulb. Like most modern cars there is very little room to change the bulbs.

Wish i'd changed to them sooner
I bought these bulbs to replace the standard Honda ones when one died.I thought I would leave it a while to see how they are in comparison to the standard ones and I wish I had changed them years ago. They are not ridiculously bright to dazzle other drivers but really light up the road much better than the originals.I replaced the upper and lower main beams at the same time and they make such a lot of difference when driving at night on country roads with no street lighting.Overall great bulbs for a reasonable price.

Very good performance and lifespan- 50k+ miles in 3 years
These are about as good as an incandescent bulb can get and not much behind more expensive +150% bulbs. I changed from the Philips Vision Plus (plus 50%) which I had used in previous car 2008-2013. They match the Osram Nightbreaker Plus H7s in the dip beam very well. The colour and output is very good in range and spread. They are definitely needed in these nights when many cars have HIDs and newer cars have LED or laser light generators now. A standard halogen bulb is now like a pre-halogen gas bulb was. This type of bulb often receives criticism for poor life. My experience is different. I get good life from bulbs yet voltage to the bulbs is typically just over 14.0 volts. My tips for good bulb life are simple.Install carefully using either kitchen roll or nitrile gloves to prevent finger printing the quartz glass.Install correctly. If the bulb contacts it's holder correctly, more heat is dissipated into the reflector. Not only that, a good beam image is assured.Switch lights on and off as required. Do not rely on auto on and off function. The reason is even a soft start alternator can create a voltage spike at switch-off. This hugely reduces bulb life to a few weeks from what I've witnessed from others (clots). They are so good, I have no intention of converting to a dubious aftermarket HID kit which will likely produce a substandard beam image and cause dazzle. In fairness, the upgrade is more like half of what is claimed (+130% looks more like +65% to me). Of course, I only trust OE manufacturers to ensure correct geometry and lasting quality. I've seen the results which cheap varieties can produce. They may be bettered by very bright LEDs (of dubious legality and often beam image) which need to be bright due to narrow waveband of LED light but they can at least defrost/melt snow from the headlamp lenses in very cold weather.

I love these - just buy them
I love these - just buy them, and fit them, and love them too. If you drive at night - I do, (taxi driver, permanent nights), then you need these. If you can't see the road ahead when you have these bulbs in - you shouldn't be on the road. Not only do they show the way ahead - but they also alert others that you're coming their way - and they can slow down to pass you safely. They do NOT dassle on-coming traffic, and are safe and legal. A definite must have. Service was superb from seller too - and very good price. One happy customer.

Really good bit of kit
This has really improved the lighting on the car.I drive to and from work around Herefordshire/ Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and the roads in Herefordshire just seem to absorb light due to the amount of s**t the local farmers dump off their tractors/ 4 wheel drives etc.Lived in rural Wales/ Lincolnshire/ Scotland etc. Have worked as a driver all around Europe/ Scandinavia/ Africa etc, and Herefordshire has the dirtiest roads anywhere in mainland Europe. At least I can now see at night!!Although I shouldn't have had to upgrade the lights.

All Rounder - Great Bulb.
I love this brand/model of bulb (Philips X-treme Vision S2 +130) we now use these on all our cars in our household. Sad but true. These are relatively cheap, bright and last a long time. Previously, I have used Bosch and General Electric bulbs but found the Bosch to be not as bright and too expensive. General Electric bulbs while bright, just do not last long enough.

Not Really a Great Upgrade
Not a great upgrade to be honestIts a little whiter in colour to the normal bulb, however you would most likely be disappointed. It says extreme, meaning a much brighter light.Granted there is a difference, the output is alittle brighter over a standard bulb and you definitely see the difference at night. The only down side is the life of the bulb, I found it only lasted 6 months for me. (I use my headlights all the time) and drive mega miles (2000 miles a month)So for this reason it wasnt the ideal bulb for me, but It was nice to give them a go.You are better off buying a long lasting bulb and changing it much less frequently. (if you drive alot of miles and always use your headlights)Try the Osram ultra life bulbs. They burn less hotter and last a very long time.Otherwise if you dont mind the short life span they are a great upgrade, and you will notice the difference once installed.

Seem to be of good quality
My car blows through headlights. Have had it looked at several times but no one can figure out why. All of the other bulbs I have tried last around 3 months, but these will actually last 6-9 months at a time. And the fact that they are bright is a bonus too.

Philips una garanzia!

Fake
The package in the photo and the once i received are not the same, i mean in the photo you see a rounded box of philips bulbs with genuine hologram on it but the one i received does not have a hologram and its in a square box.
