Firstly it does fit the Canon 55-250 mm EF-S IS II lens that I have, attaching and detaching easily with a UV filter fitted. Apart from the noticeable reduction in "flare" on the photographs, it also provides valuable protection against accidental knocks and bumps whilst fitted to the camera. I will get another at the drop of the hat if I need to. Great value as well. Review: Bought a new lens - Bought a new lense for my holidays was in a bright 3nviroment so needed a lense hood to help with the brightness excellent value for money fits as above (cannon ) well made good quality plastic not cheap and flimsy and works well got some good holiday photos ## Features - LIGHT CONTROL DESIGN: The petal-shaped lens hood effectively blocks stray light from the sides, significantly reducing vignetting and glare.
