Buy Standard Wirebound Manuscript Paper Green Cover 12 Staves Per Page Music Notation Guide for Composers Students and Musicians Hal Leonard Spiral-Bound Staff Paper Spi by Hal Leonard Corp (ISBN: 8601401249511) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Great for a Sketchbook, but not for Portfolios/Submissions - The paper isn't top quality for heavy ink, but for the price it is fine. 12 staves is perfect for University/A-level work and is recommended, although you cannot remove it efficiently or easily because of the ring binder, but it specifies this in the description, so that was no surprise. I however, wouldn't use such cheap paper for a portfolio anyway, for reasons above and because it has a nice little code in the bottom corner, but it is perfect for a sketch book and for ideas (96 pages of them). Warning, it isn't perfect for cross-stave work, but if you're writing in fine pencil it shouldn't be too much of an issue, but it does become an issue with ledger lines, as there is virtually no room for ledger lines, something to bare in mind. As well as the thick stave lines, which can create issues, but as I said NOT for portfolios. The little 'Music Notation Guide' is quite nice, outlining key signatures, various terms, symbols and tips for common practise notation (see attached picture). There is quite a lot of paper for the price, bound by a fairly sturdy plastic (which I've added pressure to and it hasn't broken). The cardboard cover would protect the paper somewhat, but isn't the sturdiest. I purchased it in the evening and it was with me by the next evening (at request) which was very efficient and helpful, no problems or issue there. There is a space to write your name on the front which is quite helpful and a nice little touch (even if it says to write your city/state as well...). 5* because it's £3 guys, you can't complain. Review: Good purchase - Perfect size staves, clean, smooth, bright paper & pages are easy to tear out too.

Efficient use of space, line thickness doesn't get in the way.
Looks great. Yes, the lines are thicker than usual, but it's not practically a problem in any way. There's a one-page notation guide inside the front cover, which is nice, even though I don't use it myself. I can see how it might be a problem if you need there to be space between staves (e.g. for lyrics or performance notes), as there is only about half a thumb's width, but otherwise, it's an efficient use of the page. Happy with the price too.

good buy
My two boys are doing drum and keyboard lesson, the teacher told me to buy a muscial notebook but i was not sure what it is called. i look in the bookshop i didnot find it but a bookshop assistant directed me to a musical store where i bought one. after knowing what it is called i then went on amazon site and got this particular one, it has more pages and more lines on each page than the one that i bought in the musical store and better still it is cheaper. Will recommend.

Nice blank music manuscript pad.
Wanted for daughter, 9, who has begun experimenting with composition on piano & violin. Good quality paper, bound by a sturdy plastic spiral, it has 96 8.5x11 pages, 12 staves per page, no clefs, so can be used for either piano or other instruments. Inside front cover has a useful basic summary of musical notations. Ideal for purpose.

tabula rasa
It's what it says on the tin... a book of manuscript paper just waiting for your scribbles! Can't beat it for the price. The paper size is American-style 8.5in x 11in, which is only an issue if you want to make photocopies, in which case you may have to reduce the size to fit onto A4. Or alternately, leave some blank space on the sides so it won't lose anything when it cuts off the edge. The notation guide on the inside cover is a nice reference. It also encourages you to write your name, address, city and state on the cover. For city and state, I wrote "none" and "confusion".

Just what I needed.
Just what I needed for my beginner piano lessons. The music notations at the front are very useful! The package came quickly and is good value for money. Being wire bound also makes it easier to use than another hard backed version that I also purchased.

Wirebound manuscript paper
I bought this as it was recommended by my piano teacher. It is very useful in my lessons for writing music and chords etc. I am very pleased with it and would recommend to anyone learning to play the piano. It is useful for revising and helping with piano practice. Very good buy. Thanks.

Great little manuscript paper notebook. I've been using it for 2 years in my music degree and it hasn't let me down. One thing I wish was if the edges of the pages were perforated (I don't know if that's the right word) so that they could be torn out with a nice edge.

This manuscript paper is exactly what’s advertised. While you could technically print blank sheets yourself, having it pre-printed and bound makes it far more convenient to keep organized and carry around. I used this all throughout school, and it was reliable and practical for daily use. Even now, I continue to buy it as needed because it saves time and stays neat compared to loose sheets. TL;DR: Simple, bound manuscript paper that’s convenient, organized, and worth rebuying.
