Can this be used all over the face for example when showering? It seems a bit over fussy to use a separate face wash/soap bar and beard wash.

It might seem fussy but would you wash your face with hair shampoo? I guess the answer depends on you. Personally I prefer separate skin and beard care products. This is a high quality beard wash.
