lifesaving little gadget!
i bought this as it has the best views and has won many awards, i can see why!it comes in a great, neat little zip up case and stores neatly in the car, its so easy to use and i love the fact you can digitally set the pressure you want, set it running and walk away. It automatically inflates the tyre to the desired pressure and then shuts off for you. Its really powerful too, i was skeptical that it would be able to cope with a flat on my hilux as they are big over sized wheels that i run at over 40psi. The petrol station air pumps really struggle to pump them up from flat, but not this little pump! It says it can inflate a tyre in 3 minutes i believe; well if im honest it took more like 10 or 12 to fully inflate my large tyres from flat, but im really not complaining, it got the job done well and didnt overheat or sound like it was struggling one bit. I suppose it is a little noisy but then it is working hard!I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone, the price is great, the size is great and the function is superb!

Fast and easy to use & accurate too
Having a foot pump in the car boot is ideal for emergencies but if like me you've had a new tyre fitted recently you will probably have experienced the full deflation and replacement of air in all 4 tyres with nitrogen (that's another story) to what you might call the garage's interpretation of default pressure settings for every small car on the planet. This maybe fine for some folks but for me I had the task of inflating 4 tyres to manufacturer settings with a pump that became decidedly hot by the time I came to inflate the last tyre. Not good methinks.Step forward the Ring RAC600 which will do the job of checking/inflating 4 tyres in the time it takes to manually foot pump one.I checked this pump via other car websites and found it had an excellent rating although one or two stated that it under inflates by 1.5 psi. At the moment I have no way of verifying that but given that a small metal foot pump is hardly likely to be that accurate either at least regular checking of tyres will now be much easier and quicker. The RAC600 is very tiny and compact and yes it does make a bit of racket, probably not for the confines of the garage, but for the regular car tyre checker the use will be minimal anyway.Cannot verify what it is like for other inflatable items but for a piece of car kit this is excellent.UPDATE November 2013.Recently I suffered a slow puncture and had to visit those darn fine chaps at ATS. As I had only just inflated my tyres with the aforesaid Ring wotnot, when ATS checked ALL my tyre pressures as is their wont, I was informed that my pump was pretty near spot-on. Hallowed praise indeed.

After a year or so's use, it's still working well, but I do have some concerns over longevity.
I bought this because the inflator I was using previously just didn't give accurate readings and took ages to inflate properly. My dad has had one in his car for years and recommended it to me and the reviews on Amazon were good, so I went ahead and ordered it. The first one I received was already used, so was returned, but the replacement has been going well, at times with some fairly regular use. The tyres on my car had perished and so were losing a lot of air. I had to re-inflate pretty much every time I drove it, so we're talking once or twice a week from around 15psi to 35psi.In use, it's fairly noisy, and not really the kind of thing you want to be disturbing your neighbours with at 6am, but if you just need to top up your tyres, you won't be using it too long - just do it the afternoon before. At first, I found the auto-shutoff feature annoying, as it stopped working once it reached the programmed pressure, and then wouldn't turn on again for the other wheels you were inflating, but since programming it so it goes off at a higher pressure, I haven't had this issue again. It seems pretty accurate and runs well - but to power it fully you need to have the engine running, so it's more noise.Over the time I've been using it, I haven't had any real problems to speak of. Some reviewers have said theirs have stopped working over time, but thankfully I haven't had that issue. Two things concern me though - the 12v adapter cable is super long, and it's not the easiest thing to put in the housing, so you kind of end up stuffing it in there. With the cable being as it is, I'm thinking that over the time, the more you do this, the more likely the cable is to get crimped or split, and then the inflater won't work anymore. I've also noticed that the schrader adapter that screws onto the valve has warped a little over time and there's a chance it'll fail at some point in the future. Nothing bad has happened yet, but we'll see...In the end, for the price, it's a lot cheaper than going to the garage and using their air pumps, and a lot less back-breaking than using a foot pump or a track pump. It's worked well for around a year and a half and shows no sign of giving up so far - so it's probably paid for itself!

Fantastic
Great product. I know that I'm a bit late with the review but I've had this thing for years and it never let me down. Recommend it 100 %

Very good, quality product.
My old compressor broke on me and I needed to replace it quickly. I wanted one that was inexpensive but built to last so I did a bit of research online and chose this. It is very compact, being smaller than my old one yet it has the same features of a built in light which is very handy. The machine itself is very easy to use and the one thing I like about this machine is that the tyre attachment actually screws into place rather than the clamp-like attachment of my old one. This makes it very easy to use and makes a much more secure attachment to the tyre before inflating. The digital readout is also much clearer than my old one too so, all-in-all, it is a much better product and for the money it is a real bargain!! The compressor seems a bit more powerful too, taking a shorter time to inflate. If you're looking for an easy-to-use, inexpensive compressor that is compact and very well made then I would strongly recommend this product. The build quality is excellent and it comes in its own carry case too - it's an excellent product for the money.
