It’s for a gift but having had Melissa and Doug toys for our grandson when he was small I know it will last and last and small children love these types of toys.

Bought these as a gift for a friend's child but was so surprised at the size and quality of the item, and value for money that I decided to keep these and order another for the gift. Really delighted with these, they look great on display (I've just found the missing piece from the photo under my couch - it did come with a full set!) My one year old loves playing with them, great colours and opportunities for play. Will definitely be ordering more of these for gifts.

I bought this to give as a gift to the 1 year old child of a friend. It arrived in reasonable time and was well packaged. It looked very nice, although certainly not of top quality, but it's good enough. I especially choose this because it's wooden, over other plastic games. It's nice that the wheels of the train rotate. I advised the mother to tie a string in front so the child can drag it along as it learns to walk on its own. The shapes and colors of the cubes are very good for this age too, because they help improve skills.

Melissa & Doug Stacking Train It is an excellent toy. The parts are quite chunky, easy for little children to handle. It has wheels so it can be pull and push along. The parts can be rearrange and sorted the way the children like. Great educational toy for young children to learn about colour, shapes, structures as well as to develop their fine motor skills, dexterity, help story telling and game play. It is one of my best toys for the children I care for.

I gave this to a child that I mind for Christmas and he loves it, he is a little young as he is almost 1 but I thought it was a toy that he would grow into and his older sister who is almost 3 could help him play with it. He loves taking all the blocks off and banging them together and it is well made enough to withstand this constant battering. I would highly recommend this item over the ones I saw in our local stores and as it is slightly bigger and more durable than they looked and it was about the same price as them. Brilliant fun for years to come and possibley a toy that will stand the test of time and not end up in a bin but can be passed on to someone else.

This is a really clever sorting stacker. It can be differentiated up or down to suit the level of your child. My toddler currently is practising putting the round shapes on the stacker in size order. You can also make this into a much harder game for older children and use it to do the Tower of Hanoi task. The quality of this toy is extremely good, the wooden blocks are solid and durable, it will survive being tipped over or dropped numerous times! I love to buy Melissa and Doug toys for the quality reason and this stacker has not let me down.
