Excellent product that works, but beware of the smell dead wasps can leave...!
We found we had a wasps nest in our cavity wall after noticing wasps leaving and entering very frequently underneath a small piece of cladding on the roof of our extension (fortunately we have a window that leads straight onto it so it made it easy to do). The wasps were only exiting in one place but were gaining entry all the way along this piece of cladding. We applied the powder all away along, and the next day saw very few wasps, however as the week progressed it got rather busy again outside our window, so we re-applied the powder very liberally! The powder has remained there and around 10 days later there was a lot of activity again, however the powder killed it off. I think if it's a relatively large nest (which this was), it does take more than one application, as there are still grubs etc. in the nest, however I'm now confident we've sorted the nest. The only couple things I'd say, is after the second application and being sure the wasps nest has died off, we now have a horrible rotting smell in our kitchen (room below cavity wall they had found a home in), and we're sure it's the wasps nest as have read of others experiencing the same thing. This smell is absolutely horrendous and despite airing the room, using airfreshner and deep cleaning the room, five days on and it smells worse now than it did. If you have a large wasps nest in a location that backs onto a room you use a lot, just be mindful of this, as I can assure you it's an absolutely disgusting smell!!! Hoping it'll clear soon as the wasps finish rotting away (ugh!) Also, this product is very poisonous to cats, and should not be used around them. Fortunately our cats do not go onto our extension roof, so we've been safe to use it, but if the nest had been anywhere else where our cats do go, I think we'd have called a professional it. This is a great product at a great price - it's worked brilliantly and we've got loads left over for use again if we ever need it - given how much we put down, I'm amazed at how much we've still got left. Definitely cheaper than getting an exterminator in!

It worked after a few tries - see photo
It worked and got rid of the wasps which were nesting in the eaves above my front door. See photo for remaining powder after wasps have gone. It was tricky to use when trying to puff the powder upwards into a small hole in the eaves while at the top of a ladder. I could imagine this would be very easy to use if at an angle where you could aim downwards instead though. It took three tries on separate evenings but I finally got enough in and around the hole to finish the wasps off - the trick is to motion the bottle upwards quickly while squeezing as much as possible! It could have done with more of a spout or something similar to make aiming at a small hole easier, however it did its main job in ridding us of the wasps so I'm happy to recommend it.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do
You can use this product any time, but I found it best to use when the wasps are inactive asleep and are all in the nest between midnight till 4 am, I tipped the bottle forwards so the contents was at the top of the bottle I pumped in the powder liberally about six big pumps, at 10 am the next day two wasps came out covered in white powder and fell to the ground and died, all the others died in the nest, I kept checking the air brick for more wasps for two weeks nothing more came out, I have not had to use this product again yet. Fantastic product, works a treat, top marks.

good in the loft
Used the foam version of this which did not do anything other than disappear within a couple of hours, the wasps were also not that bothered and once the foam dropped from the entrance, they were back. It was however, good in the loft, were I had a new wasp nest with an active queen. It covered the nest and the wasp preventing it from being able to attack. This powder is unbelievable. I have wasps inside my brickwork behind wooden cladding, going in and out near an opening by a wooden beam. I puffed about a 1/3 of the bottle around the entrance and also tried to get it inside/between the wooden beam. Near instantly, a couple wasps started to come out agitated trying to fly, but being covered in the powder, were rolling around. The next day there were no signs of wasps, normally there would be a constant stream of them coming and going. Just over 1.5 weeks later and still no wasps. The powder can still be seen around the brickwork even after several days of bad weather. The bottle does state a second application may be required for the younger bees (hatched larvae), but for me, this has not been necessary. I would say this is a great product, I still have 2/3 of the bottle left in case another nest appears..

"In short, it works. The wasps have been evicted..."
I noticed I had a problem with wasps seemingly visiting the air vent above my room. Unable to access inside, I had a look around and did some research. I ordered this alongside some wasp foam (also from Rentokil), and it was that which was used first. After annoying them enough to leave my vent, i proceeded to spray some of this in every hole. I say spray... there is a hole at the top of a plastic cap. It will need a downward angle which I was reluctant to do as 1. I was up a ladder and did not want any of these nasty stuff floating into my eye socket and nose, and 2. I have cats which wander around my house like they own the place. This item is HIGHLY poisonous to our feline companions. Please ensure they're kept away at all times, and if you spill any, clean it up or firebomb the vicinity. In short, it works. The wasps have been evicted, and I can now go on with my life knowing I committed mass murder and got away with it. Word.

Didn’t work on my wasps
Didn’t wok even though I followed the instructions to the letter. Disappointed considering it’s from a well known brand. Ended up buying an alternative brand which actually was very good.

Excellent Wasp Killer
Rentokil PSW99P 300g Wasp Killer Powder Works really well. I have used it on two nests with excellent results although it would have been useful if there had been a tube on the cap so that it could be directed more precisely (hence only 4 stars). I blu tacked and sellotaped a straw from my son's slush puppy into the cap after enlarging the hole and found it made all the difference in getting the powder to blow right into the entry holes the wasps were using. The insecticide works really well, equally as effective as the powder used by the commercial wasp removal firms, but do make sure you are properly suited and booted along with a beekeepers hat (which can be purchased for very little). I recommend this Rentokil product - it works!.
