We do enjoy these pods. They are ESE standard format (check your machine specifics) and the quality of the coffee is very tasty and creamy. At this price beats the pods we were previously buying at the common big name chains

Excellent quality coffee in good quality ese pods. Bought these as a replacement for a poor batch of our regular Cialdissima product and is a marked improvement even on the previous decent versions. Coffee flow through the pod is excellent and a decent tasty cream. For this price, these pods are a steal 👍

Nice crema but not as fullbodied as some other ese pods. Reminds me a little of an espresso from a fully automatic machine. Worth trying out if you like a smoother espresso than the south italian coffee.

the coffee was weak and the flavour was dull , I had other brands better quality for less money.

I've been a barista for a few years and I usually grind my own beans and extract my own espresso.However, when I'm in a rush I need something more convenient.I recently tried out Illy ESE pods and I loved them! The coffee has a good flavour with an impressive hazelnut toned crema.I always liked Lavazza for my filter coffee so I thought I would give them a try for ESE pods too.I wish I hadn't...The crema is very pale and thin, the extraction is strange, it comes out bubbly...I thought that it may have been my machine so I tested an illy pod... and that worked as good as always!(P.S I am in no way associated with Illy, this is just my comparison)I used 2 pods, I threw the first one out because I thought it was just a dodgy extraction but the second one was no better...Seeing as i only used 2 pods and the rest of them are still sealed I tried to start a return only to find that it can't be returned...I tasted it as an espresso and then as a white americano... it tastes watery and burnt at the same time. There is no note of any other flavour.I have actually had instant coffee better tasting than these pods!I'm not gonna drink these and seeing as I can't return them I'll give them to my worst enemy or something 😂Any way, save your money and your taste buds.Your welcome 🤗

Writing a review on anything that you can eat or drink is obviously going to be subjective, so I thought I would give some background on my coffee experience. I have been using ESE pods for a number of years and have tried several different makes and blends and none of them have come close to the experience of sitting outside a cafe in Italy or France or Portugal and sipping an espresso watching the world go by. The coffee they sell always tastes rich and smooth with no bitter after taste, my closest ESE pod to this experience has been the illy brand however I find them too expensive and so I have been trying different brands in search of my coffee El Dorado. My routine is one mid-morning cup which I add warm milk to (something I don't do when on the continent) and sometimes I add sugar, depending on taste.I tried Lavazza because I thought it's a well known European brand and therefore should be okay but unfortunately, for me it leaves a burnt or bitter after taste on my tongue which lingers long after I have drank my coffee. The aroma is pleasant with only a slight "woody" smell and, as I have said, drinking it is also enjoyable if milk is added. To overcome the bitter after taste I now add sugar which is something I haven't had the need to do with any of the other brands I have tried.So to sum up this coffee for me is okay if milk and sugar is added however I won't be buy it again and will continue the search for my perfect Espresso.

Super aromatisch. Geht super in der Handpresso. Allerdings sollte man sich von Seiten des Herstellers Gedanken machen, wie man den anfallenden Verpackungsmüll reduzieren könnte, da jede Portion einzeln eingepackt ist. Gegebenenfalls 10 in eine Packung.

I've personally sipped hundreds of espresso shots brewed from the Lavazza Gran Crema E.S.E. pods using my Delonghi DEDICA (EC680M). Full disclosure though, my wife does not like it, and she prefers other roasters, but for me it's the perfect flavor profile - not bitter at all as an espresso shot (that's very important to me), and I find the aroma wonderful on its own but it becomes absolutely amazing when I rub the rim with some lemon peel before enjoying the aroma.My Delonghi DEDICA does not brew a very thick crema in general, and the crema with these are as rich and thick as I can produce with any other coffee - either E.S.E. or fresh ground. I assume your results will differ if you have a different espresso machine. On this same machine, my wife likes the flavor of the Illy pods but I think this machine has too low a pressure to brew them quickly - takes anywhere from 20 to 30 seconds for the Illy pods (possibly due to a finer grind) but with no better richness of flavor and no thicker crema. The Lavazza pods are a breeze, typically only taking about 8 to 10 seconds, and that's perfect for me.[Update Feb 27, 2019]I used a timer this morning to check my brewing times and the Lavazza pods came in at 16 ot 17 seconds after pre-wet, and 22 to 23 seconds total brewing time. I guess I was so happy with the "short" brewing time that I exaggerated, just a little! ;-)
