Most will come with instructions.What are you using it for? If for car washing I'd recommend ValetPro snow foam, as this foams up well (fill to first bottom marker then the rest warm water).Most work slightly better being topped up with warm water.Karcher's foam lance is ok, does a ok job, but there are better ones out there.
