For my requirements, this machine has been working alright. We have a relatively small bedroom (3.8m x3.5m) with no direct sunlight and because we are on ground floor we can't leave the windows open either. This means the air usually gets stuffy and unpleasant when the door and window are closed. Since we got this air purifier, I turn it on for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening before going to bed and it's been doing a good job cleaning the air reasonably, getting rid of stuffy odours. It has 3 levels to choose from, the lowest level is really quite, almost silent, and perfect for leaving on over night. The other two levels are more powerful and therefore make some 'fan' noise and are better for using during the day or before going to bed. please note when the more powerful fan modes are on, the air blown can be chilly (obviously this is not a heater so that's natural I think). To avoid the chilled air in your face, you can always turn it slightly to right or left to avoid direct air, but still benefit from clean air in the room.The only problem with my machine is the air is blown sideways and not straight. This might be a one-off problem with the one I received. Sadly my husband threw the box away too early so I couldn't send it back for replacement. Having said that, I don't find this issue too problematic.All in all I give it 4 stars because it does a reasonable job for what I needed and for its value.

The unit is solid with some heft to it and seems well built. It comes with clear instructions and is simple to set up. It has three fan speeds, I use it in our bedroom so at present I put on at the highest level for an hour before we retire and then run it at its lowest speed during the night.The top two speeds are loud, a bit like a small portable air conditioner, but the lowest speed produces a gentle thrum, so not silent but certainly quiet and not at all obtrusive. I am a light sleeper but this does not disturb me.However, the big question is, does it work or is it as another reviewer has suggested, just an expensive fan. At this stage, I'm not sure as I've only had it a few days.It certainly seems to clear the air a bit, but so far the hoped for improvements in nasal congestion/rhinitis I tend to suffer during the night and on waking, have been mixed, some mornings better than others, more time is needed to assess it's effectiveness. That said, I'm certainly keeping it.Some other reviewers have also suggested this blasts out cold air when operating. I don't think so, it's not an air conditioner, the air flow is at room temperature and in summer months will no doubt feel warm. There is also some confusion about how one obtains new filters and their cost, that I am trying to resolve.However, on balance I am happy enough with this product, time will tell how effective it is long term and if need be I will update my findings.

Had a pretty bad summer, not quite sure of my allergy, it is likely hayfever or resin/glue, I didn't really find this to be effective, rather the filter quickly became a breeding ground for mold (i think) within the space of week, I'm also sceptical of the UV feature.The pros are that on it's lowest setting it is quite quiet, and it can always be used as a fan.I would advise anyone looking to buy an air filter to maybe aim for a higher price bracket, to keep an eye on the condition of the filters, and to try to address the cause in other ways first (cleaning/storage/air-spray), as this is by no means a magic bullet.

Good table top air cleaner can cope with an average size room. It is not as noisy as some of the other models. The filter has certainly picked up a lot of dust so that will be helping my COPD. Difficult to find filters for it non on Amazon. However the filters are easily removed and so far using a vacuum cleaner look like they will last a good few months

Dust in my flat was starting to annoy me. Surfaces were dusty within a few days, my PC was dusty both inside and out. My mousepad needed a lint roller going over it several times a day.After leaving this on for a day or two, I barely have any dust on my mousepad (the easiest way to check for dust settling on surfaces in my place). I don't really see that much dust flying in the air during sunny days.Cooking smells disappear a lot faster with the charcoal filter as well. The only question I have is how long the filter lasts, but apparently 3-6 months is typical.Fan noise is pretty low as well. Setting on max is about as loud as the lowest setting of your typical 16-inch oscillating fan.

It's really easy to disassemble for cleaning. Stick on feet allows you to place it either on its side or upright.But I love the speed options mostSpeed 1 - Next to silent, airflow similar to open window on a breezy daySpeed 2 - Ambient fan noise,Speed 3 - Quite loud,But what's nice is it doesn't sound like a fan. I have this on my windowsill with my window open, and it just sounds like the trees blowing in the wind.One odd thing about it though, is the air isn't blown straight out the front. It's blown to a side, very noticeably so if you put your hand in front of it (and can't feel anything at first).

This has made such a difference to us. I have COPD and frequently struggle with breathlessness particularly during high pollen times, even with windows closed. A week or so with the 3 in 1 and I have noticed I am breathing easier and feel less headachy. Service from the supplier was excellent - a small problem with the first unit was sorted by return, and customer service was exemplary. At levels 2 andl 3, the sound is noticeable, but not intrusive for use during the day, but at level 1 is barely audible and thus perfect for overnight use in a bedroom. I would completely recommend this item, it certainly works for me, and at a very affordable price

The unit has made a lot of difference to the air quality in our bedroom; the filter has collected a substantial amount of dust/ particles in just a few weeks. I highly recommend the unit but have not given it 5* due to the non-availability of the replacement filters in the UK. Hoping that vacuuming the filter regularly will prolong its life.
