Holy heck, absolutely brilliant!
EDIT 2022: Now had the machine for almost 2 years and I used it about 6-7 times a day and it's still going strong. I used kettle descaler liquid to clean it through when it needs cleaning ( roughly every 7-8 weeks ). Maybe I got a lucky after seeing other people's machines broken after a few weeks and mine now going on 2 years and still great. I've owned coffee machines in the past but they were so much trouble to operate and keep clean that they usually ended up in a cupboard after a couple of months. This took about a minute to assemble, a minute to read the instructions, a minute to prep with a quick pre-use clean and I was drinking my first cup of coffee inside 5 mins of opening the box! How cool is that? I have a very specific taste in coffee, I love one particular brand of instant coffee and one of the great things this machine allows you to do is simply pump out hot water. So I put coffee in my cup, put it in the machine and allow it to simply pump hot water through with no filter pods in place. The water temp of the hot water is absolutely spot on! You can be drinking the brew within a minute of the brew being made. Normally you'd boil the kettle, pour out your coffee and then have to wait 15 mins for it cool down. Obviously because it can pump out hot water within a minute you also brew up tea, soup or even Lemsip without all that tedious messing about with the kettle when you're not feeling in the best of moods. Of course the downside is that it's so easy to brew up a cup of coffee with this little machine that you find yourself drinking a lot more coffee. 10 secs to fill the little water tank on the back. 20 secs to warm up the device, then flip it over to hot water and you're drinking your brew within a minute, far too easy. Due to the way it works with or without the pods, it barely touches anything messy. The only thing that is likely to cause trouble is if you have hard water in your are from the tap, then you might need to buy a water filter to use before filling the unit but most people in hard water areas usually have water filters already so this may not be an issue. At the price and ease of use this is probably one of the best little kitchen gadgets I've used in years. I've a spare couple of minute, time for a another brew methinks....

The second Dolce Vita machine I own
This is the second Dolce Gusto machine I have chosen to own, the other being a Dolce Gusto Krups Lumio, there are some important differences between the two, I will discuss the Dulce Gusto generally and then the specific features available with this make. The Dolce Gusto range are pod coffee machines, there is a plastic water reservoir which is filled and filtered through the pods which are placed in a tray which is then inserted into the machine, there is a switch on the top which allows selection of hot or cold water (depending on your make this may click automatically back to neutral when the "pour" is complete or you may need to decide manually, time it and stop it) and there is a drip tray which affixes to the machine beneath where the glass or cup will sit. All machines are supplied with a pretty clear set of instructions (see accompanying picture) which explain how to set up the machine, how to prepare the drinks (some drinks require more than one pod to create them and different pods can require different volumes of water). The Jovia is different to the Lumio in a number of respects, the drip tray can be adjusted, hooking into the backboard at different heights for different sizes of glass and different sizes of beverages. The pod tray and mechanism on the Jovia, like the majority of non Lumio designs, seems to be a single piece, "bottom", as opposed to a kind of box which closes around the entire pod. The lever which opens the bay in which the tray rests seems to extend the hole punch which perforates pods when it is pushed down, at least it can be seen extending when you push the lever down without the pod tray being in place. This is the main difference that I can tell between the machines, the Lumio also is automatic and has a colour timer indicator, it is significant enough as the Lumio developed a fault which was specific to the pod tray shortly after I bought it (although the guarantee provided for a speedy replacement part being dispatched by customer service, I had not automatically assumed this would be so). Aesthetically, this machine is nice to look at and is not as large as some reviewers have made out, it does not take up that much more room than your average kettle, or so I think, the water reservoir does not hold a lot of water (say in contrast to some filter coffee machines) but I have found this a feature of both the Lumio and Jovia. For me this is not a major issue, it is just a matter of frequently refilling the reservoir, it is no big task, I accept what some people have said about the slot in which you pour the water being a lengthwise slit but it really is not a challenge to fill (at the worst a jug could be used to assist but I really dont think it necessary). I recommend both this and the Lumio, they are both great machines, both in terms of materials and function. I also think they look great too. I dont drink Nescafe instant coffee generally but I think the pods taste fine, also other brands of pod too, such as Amazon's "happy belly" range, are also great, there is even the option now of using refillable pods which you place your own grounds into.

Fast, Easy Coffee Machine! Lovely Flavours! ☕️
I bought this for my father in law to replace his previous, similar model, machine which wasn’t working properly. When visiting, I got sick of waiting 20 minutes for the machine to warm up so decided to get him a replacement. This model is very similar to his old one but the red is a much deeper, richer colour and looks much sleeker because of this. It’s a simple machine to use. You get your coffee pods, pop the first one in (usually milk), fill to the recommended level, replace with the second pod and, again, fill to the recommended level. Job done! You can use this machine to make hot or cold drinks. You just turn the dispenser handle left for cold or right for hot. The coffee pods you can get for this machine are wide in variety and differ in price. You can get coffee, tea, chocolate etc. Lots of choice! I recently just discovered compatible cheap cappuccino pods in my local ‘european’ supermarket! Lovey! It makes a reasonable rumble when running (see video) but it’s so quick to dispense the coffee, it doesn’t really disturb anyone. It’s easy to clean. You just wipe it down. There isn’t much more to do to be honest! Changing the water is super simple, you just pop the tank off the back and fill it up. It’s really easy to do. Summary: A great coffee machine with a wide variety of flavoured coffee pods available. It’s also an incredible price for such a machine!

Looks nice, but has it's faults
I wanted a compact drinks machine for my kitchen, I used to have a Tassimo and it was a pretty good machine, but this time I thought I would try something different, I saw this on offer and for the price I thought it was worth a punt. The machine itself is small and compact, it looks nice and discreetly sits in the corner. Operation is simple, but in my haste to order this machine at a bargain price I neglected to notice that machine isn’t automatic. You have to manually control the amount of the beverage that is dispensed, and it is tricky to get the balance right, it can be too strong or too weak depending when you decide to shut the machine off. I have now started to use glass cups so it’s easier to judge when I think I have dispensed the correct amount as per the guide on the carton. It’s going to be a case of experimentation until I get the strength right for each drink, but I didn’t really want to do that as it means that every time I make a drink it can be slightly different, so not ideal. I also found that some of the drinks aren’t very hot, but more the top end of warm, call me fussy but I like my hot drinks to be well, hot. Overall it’s not a bad machine, but I would prefer a fully automated machine that gives me the same strength drink every time. I only recommend buying the machine if it’s on offer, as I would have been highly disappointed if I had paid close to the full retail price.

Creamy Cup of Capsule Coffee!
My sister has wanted a coffee machine for a long time, but with the amount on the market its hard to know which one to choose. When I came across this one, I knew I would be safe with the Nescafe brand. I have always chosen Nescafe coffee, so the machine was perfect for us. Although it is cheaper than some, you certainly wouldn't tell once it's up and in the kitchen. This machine looks great, and worth far more than 29.99. It was easy to set up and clean, and within moments we were ready to test it. We purchased 16 decaf pods from Tesco for 2.99 which was also a bargain, and it was with one of these that we tested it first. The machine has a lever for choosing between hot and cold, while the middle neutral position is used for stopping it. This machine may be manual, but having never owned an automatic, it is no problem for me. The coffee is ready within 60 seconds, so standing and waiting to push the lever back really isn't an issue, especially if you are on a budget and can only afford manual. For us this machine is just what we wanted. The water tank is big enough to accommodate water for two mugs of coffee, and it works fast. It also fits most mug sizes, and the drip tray is adjustable for tall or short mugs. The machine is compact and looks great on the eye, and the design matches any kitchen decor. I honestly haven't yet found anything bad about this machine. Yes, it's quite noisy, but with how fast it makes coffee it really isnt an issue. The coffee tastes great, and isn't too hot, and the machine is easy to clean and maintain. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get their first coffee machine or perhaps looking to get rid of their old one. It gets a 5* from me.

Great for the price
Ok, so the headline info with this is that it's not automatic which seems to bother people. It bothered me at first. What if I couldn't accurately count the precise number of seconds in my head that were needed to make the perfect cup of coffee? Well, I don't think it's actually that much of an art, but I downloaded a free app for my mobile that allowed me to select whatever type of coffee pod(s) I was using and it ran a countdown timer for me. So that was that problem solved right away. I just had my first cup of coffee and it tastes lovely. A similar standard to the coffees you get from a certain popular food/drinking chain in the UK, but that was perfectly sufficient for me. I wanted something that tasted better than a bit of instant coffee but knew I wouldn't be getting a coffee akin to the ones you pay £4 for on the highstreet. I mean, the machine is £30 and whilst the pods can be expensive (let's say about £4 for a box that makes 8 coffees) it still works out much cheaper than a fancy cup from one of those outlets. Easy to use, no problems getting water into it, no real problem working out the instructions (they have no words which is daunting at first but none of it was difficult to follow in the end). This is a 5 star coffee machine when you consider it's selling on here for £30. Perhaps you'd expect more if you paid £60+ for a coffee machine. I got exactly what I expected to get. A decent cup of coffee that easily beats a cup of instant.

Great! Love it.
I have had his machine for a couple of days but love it already. It is a manual type which means you have to stand over it to release the amount of water you need/want. This is so quick once it is ready that I prefer that and like experimenting with different proportions. I quite like the red flex - much complained about - which is a bit like a little animal's tail at the rear. There is a clear on/off switch, a lever at the top which you push to the right for hot drinks and to the left for cold. The water tank is a decent capacity because you should not keep heating up the same water many times. I refill the tank with fresh water in the morning and that's that for my day. I like my coffee really hot and think I might microwave the mug occasionally on very cold days. When I received mine I was given a code for £10 to be taken off any purchase of 4 packets of pods or £20. The order went through immediately and there was also a small sample pack included so that you can go ahead straightaway. The drinks are varied and most require 2 pods which you place in the drawer one after the other. This is where I have a complaint: they are not bio-degradable and go into landfill. The company needs to work on this. The other minor grumble is that they do not empty completely and so you have to watch for drips. Yet - lovely aroma, pleasant service and excellent drinks. It purrs like a friendly cat - with a red tail! Update: I am so glad I chose a manual machine: they seem cheaper but better to me as I can adjust the amount of water for each component of the drink. You can do something else whilst it gets into gear and the "on" light stops flashing red and turns solid green. I warm up my cup in that interval. When the green shows you do have to stand over it for the few seconds it takes to discharge the hot water - it is fun to smell the aromas and watch the process.

Excellent value for moneyz great little coffee machine.
Flavour - the flavour this coffee machine gives is far above any instant coffee and below what you get in a coffee shop, however depending what pods you buy I mainly get the Starbucks ones which do tatse like the drink you receive from the store. For the price you honestly cannot beat the tatse it gives. Build quality - feels sturdy, seems to be well built and nothing has broken on the item. There is a slight sticking issue when loading poss to the machine from time to time however. This doesn't effect how the machine works overall. Not automatic - you need to learn how much of each pod to put in to the cut, I tend to let it run till it starts to seem a little clear then stop it, this gives overall a good taste each time. But the machine would benefit if it was automatic however again for the price you can't complain about that. Cup size - works best with medium to small cups however if you don't mind a slightly weaker coffee then you can easily do larger cups with it. Cleaning - very easy to clean takes no time at all. Overall - great little machine you won't regret buying. For the price you can overlook the small imperfections, due to on the whole it being a great devise giving good quality coffee for those early morning starts

No good for Canada
Great machine but what's the good of it, if one can't use it?! They did not say anywhere in the description that this product has a British plug and is of no use in Canada.☹ Why wojld they not make people aware of it or sell it to Canada or in the first place ?? I contacted the seller via the link provided to send it back but haven't heard from them yet, almost a week later! Very unhappy! 😒
