I am only appreciating this nipple cream after trying another brand’s nipple butter. In comparison, this cream is excellent. It heals cracked nipples and also soothes it. Breastfeeding is so much easier and less painful. Apply it after each feeding / pumping session and let it work for you. I highly recommend. I am only somewhat confused by the product description here where it says “made with chemicals safer for humans”, especially because the product also says “100% natural and hypoallergenic”. So what chemicals exactly are we talking about? A little transparency in that regard will be appreciated.

Cows milk was never an option for me. I wanted to give my baby the milk my body made for her. I was her first home and her first fridge haha ... and I struggled enormous amounts with my skin and nipples during the first 3 to 10 months. I bought the Lansinoh HPA Lanolin Cream after reading great reviews, and I’m so glad I did! The cream is thick but smooth, and a little goes a long way. It’s completely odorless and tasteless, which means I don’t have to worry about my baby refusing to latch after applying it. I also love that it’s 100% natural and safe, so there’s no need to wash it off before feeding – a huge time saver when you’re exhausted! Within just a couple of days, my nipples felt so much better. It kept the skin moisturized and helped the cracks heal quickly. I even use it for dry lips and cuticles—a nice bonus!

I had some issues at the start with breast feeding and it lead to me being very sore and cracked. As soon as I started using this there was an immediate and noticeable difference. I have tried other brands and I kept coming back to this one every time. If I ever have another baby I will be stocking up on this before hand! USAGE If you haven't used anything like this before then it can take a little getting used to as, to me, it's not like a cream or lotion but more like a balm. In the beginning trying to spread that over sore and cracked skin was a little painful so I just daubed it on and gently dabbed it into place rather than using a spreading motion. By the time I came to reapply after a couple of hours I noticed that the skin was softer and therefore didn't pull as much, so reapplication became a lot easier and less painful - please bear in mind I was in a really bad way. It had a pleasant smell to it and after reading on the back that it could be used for dry lips I would use any of the excess on my finger on my lips. I was quite impressed, not sure why as that's the sole purpose of this stuff is to soften the skin and aid healing, but it did mean that I could at least look after my lips while being sleep deprived. BABY My baby didn't seem to mind the texture, taste or smell while feeding, it didn't seem to bother him at all that I was using it and it is not harmful to the baby either so there is no need to wipe away before feeding. I would try to make sure that I applied AFTER I had fed just so my baby had a minimal amount to ingest and mainly that it would have the max amount of time to work.
