Kinky-Curly Natural Leave-In Detangler (Knot Today) 8 Ounces (236 Ml)

I love this product - it's a good, reliable leave-in with the right amount of 'slip' that curly hair needs to make the detangling process as manageable and pain-free as possible. It delivers consistent results - when I use it, I end up with shiny, moisturised, tangle-free hair that retains its natural curl pattern (I have 'natural' afro hair, with a loose curl pattern in the front and middle, and tighter curl pattern in the back and sides). I like using this conditioner for the 'Kimmaytube' recipe, by mixing it with aloe vera and oils... it's my favourite way to use it and makes it last a little longer. It's a bit pricey, but I like the fact that it's all-natural and does a good job of nourishing and refreshing my curls when I use it.

I now have a full head of spiral curls which look and feel like I have no product on. I wet my hair everyday when showering (shampoo and condition only once a week). I then pat hair with a towel so not dripping wet and rub a pea size amount of 'Knot today' between my palms and wipe through my hair and then comb through with a wide tooth wooden comb, tip my head forward and scrunch with my hands and then allow my hair to dry naturally. Very impressed will continue buying. Some may think its expensive, my beautiful hair is worth it.

This is a good product with a lovely smell. I used it on my natural hair and my kinky Brazilian hair weave. However the downside is this product is very expensive and does not last long. I extended the use of mine by mixing with water, but I think I will give a cheaper product a go before I order anymore.

This coupled with the Kinky Curly custard is an all round winner. I have literally at the age of 50 finally found something that leaves my curls defined. I add oil on top to keep in moisturised. I have 4b/c hair. The draw back is is that it is somewhat expensive and you do get through a lot of it but it seems to be the only thing that works for me. Give it a go!

My hair is type 3a curls, during the winter it needs a lot more moisture so this gel is perfect, its not too thick (i apply when wet) and it leaves my hair smooth and lightweight when dry. No stickiness and no flakes and has a lovelt scent. Iv sworn by this product for more than 3 years and never dissapointed. A small blob goes a long way!

I am still unsure with this one. it is a nice conditioner with good slip. A little goes a long way for me (i have fine 3c-4b hair). I like the fact it does not contain protein and glycerine which my hair does not like too much. My problem is the price. I am not sure I love it enough. Bottle is small so even though i don't use that much it still will finish within a couple months or less. Giovani direct leave in is about £6 cheaper and that is pretty comparable to this one. I think i will be experimenting with other leave ins before i make this my staple product. However if Kinky Curly does become more widely available in the UK,hopefully price will go down and i can be more at peace with purchasing it.

I have been using kinky curly knot today for more than a year now but I always ordered it from British curlies/curly emporium. I decided to buy it on amazon seeing as it worked out cheaper (only 0.50p less really) and I am grossly disappointed. 1. When I looked at the bottle, there were bubbles in it. None of my other KCKT bottles had bubbles in them. 2. When I opened it there was the slight petroleum jelly smell which I found surprising. 3. The conditioner has no slip at all. This is my favourite leave in conditioner and my hair literally softens when it comes in contact with it. With this, my hair is no where near soft. I think someone must have pumped half the bottle out and put something else in it. For 16.49, I feel cheated and want my money back. I am making a complaint to Kinky-Curly. They should know that something fishy is going on.

this product is amazing! it gives a huge amount of slip so it's great for detangling. it keeps my (mostly 2c/3a, coarse, normal-high porosity) hair feeling moisturized, *and* defined, as well as soft and not weighed down. i swear by this product and always have it around. i have to remoisturize my hair between wash days and one of the best things about this product is that i can get my hair slightly damp or just steam it up in the shower and the product is reactivated and my hair looks lovely all over again. i also use this product when i braid my hair - which i then leave in for several days, sometimes a week or more at a time, and my hair is still very moisturized and lookin great when i take my braids down. it smells really nice too! tldr - 10/10, would recommend

Love this product. Can use just this and my curls spring back to life. Makes my hair shiny. Awsome detangler. Use it only on days my hair is very rough and tangled. Does an amazing job. Downside is the price hence use it only wen my hair is unmanageable and in a hurry

My daughter is 8 years old and has hair past her waist. Her hair is thick with slight wave with some little curls around her hairline. She has A LOT of hair, (think Arianna Grande's ponytail). I was struggling with her getting horrible knots and the ends drying out. The other problem was her getting frizz and flyaways hairs all over her head. (Sidenote: I really want to cut her hair short but she loves it long and it means a lot to her that shes got the longest hair at school. But for real shes getting her hair cut sooner than she knows!!) I graduated cosmetology school so I know a lot about hair and maintenance, her hair is high maintenance (highly porous, dry, plus damage from pool water and being slept on wet). I've tried a variety of high end and expensive leave in conditioners, shampoos and conditioners, oils, creams, treatments... Her hair is my biggest challenge. Kinky Curly Knot Today has tamed her wild hair! It has made the hairs around her crown area smoothed but not matted down. The mid-shaft to the ends look and feel nourished and moisturized. Her hair does feel a bit heavier, and I'm pretty sure its because it's now got the moisture she needs and with the volume of hair she has, it will make a considerable difference. I also love that the price is so reasonable! It's worth every penny since it reduces my workload on her hair, and cuts out the need for me to buy a lot of products that just arent working for us. My local beauty supply store doesnt carry the Kinky Curly line so I'm glad I can get it here. Oh, as for how I apply it, after washing and conditioning, I apply Kinky Curly Knot Today liberally through her midshaft down to her ends and proceed to gently detangle that areas applied. Then I drag some of the product on the comb through her hair base (the top of her head) I dont add a lot of concentrated product on her scalp as it will build up quickly and weigh down her already heavy hair. Then I put her hair in a low loose braid to air dry as long as possible. Then, when her hair is slightly damp, I will use a medium heat hair drier to move her hair around and loosen up the bulkier damp spots, not going for bone dry, just lightly speeding up the drying process. Her finished hair looks amazing. Like beautiful mermaid waves. I do straighten her hair sometimes but avoid it to keep the damage down.
