Not having any sort of workshop I'd done what the saw's instruction manual advised for "portable" use. I'd made a mounting board from 80cm x 60cm 18mm MDF. I'd also added fittings so it could be held and used securely with my portable workbench. But I put off buying it for months because even though 'only' about £70 it was an extra expense I didn't want. Now I have bought it I wish I had been more sensible because it is just what I needed: robust, folds down to make a still heavy but portable and relatively compact piece of kit. It is easy to set up and solves all the problems I'd had including, in certain cases, helping with a design fault with the mitre saw. I won't go into details about that but the fact is if you're cutting long piece of wood you want it to lie properly level with the saw table so that when you cut it you know the saw blade is cutting through it at the intended angle. Used with my Makita mitre saw to skirt and arch the whole house, couldn't have done it without this item. Took the 4.2m lengths no bother. Rollers are useful and makes it easy to slide the lengths along to the desired cutting point. It feels sturdy and well made. Bought for £59.99 which represents fantastic value for money in my eyes. It doesn't tell you in the instructions how to fix different branded mitre saws, but I found it best to feed the bolts from underneath through the gap in the clamps, and bolt up on top of the mitre saw.
