Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthener, 13.3ml (Pack of 1)

I’ve bitten my nails for over 30 years, so growing them out has always felt impossible for me. I decided to give Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails Strengthener a try, and I’m honestly so glad I did. As someone completely new to nail care, I needed something simple and effective and this has been exactly that. My nails used to be weak, peeling, and constantly breaking, but after using this, I’ve noticed a real difference. They feel stronger, look healthier, and for the first time ever, I’m actually seeing length! It dries quickly, has a nice subtle shine, and is really easy to apply, even for a beginner like me. I also love that it gives my nails a bit of protection, which has helped me resist the urge to bite them again. It’s not an overnight miracle, but with consistent use, it’s definitely helped me on my nail growth journey. If you’re someone who struggles with nail biting or weak nails like I have, I’d absolutely recommend giving this a go.. you won’t regret it!

I started using this at the start of 2020 and it's made a massive difference to my horribly weak and damaged nails. After many years of getting my nails done professionally, I suddenly developed a nasty allergic reaction to gel nail polish so I had re-think what I could do with my nails. I also noticed that my natural nails were in a bit of a state too. They were very weak and brittle and never seemed to grow without splitting. I just assumed that I had "bad" nails or needed more calcium or something. Around this time the pandemic also kicked off so I couldn't see anyone to get my nails done professionally anyway, and I thought this might be a good time to give my nails a break. I'd never used a nail hardener before and I thought I'd give this one a try. It's a good price on Amazon and considering all the shops were closed, I didn't have a lot of options! It took a couple of months but I started to notice a massive improvement in my nails...they grew!!!!! For what seemed like the first time in ages, my nails actually grew to a decent length. They stopped splitting too. I paint one coat on and then let it dry completely before doing another coat. The formula of this polish is kind of gloopy and has a strong smell but it applies evenly enough. It doesn't peel off after a day either some like clear nail polish tends to either. Overall, I'm massively impressed with this! My nails have improved so much since I started using it. They don't split so much and are actually much thicker too. Now, I'm not implying that this nail hardener is some kind of miracle but it has most definitely helped with my damaged nails. I should point out that what's helped restore my nails is most likely a combination of 1) being furloughed from work due to C19 for a few months and not typing as much, and therefore not using my nails as much as I was before 2) taking more vitamins like vitamin D 3) no gel nails (they really weaken your natural nails and can cause allergies) I think gels and acrylics are very bad for your natural nails. Overall, I highly recommend this. It's worked a treat for me and my nails were in a terrible state. I've been using this for over a year now and my nails have never looked better. I now have to actually trim my nails because they get too long! Never thought I'd ever say that! I no longer get gel nails from a salon either which has also helped to improve my nails A LOT too. Give this a try. It's not a miracle worker by any means, but I think it can help significantly. It's also nice to use as a base coat under regular polish.

Very happy with this product. Always had my nails break, and not being able to have long nails. They've always been bendy. I stopped filing my side nails which was my no. 1 mistake! And used this exclusively. My nails got stronger even when I took off the nail polish, and don't bend. So, quite surprised to have long nails! Im not sure if yhey will keep being strong if i stop using the polish thougg? One minus is that the brush isn't long enough to reach the bottom of the vial when the polish has been used. So have to screw it in, then unscrew to have polish on the brush, making it a hassle to get to the last bit!

I find this product excellent. It doesn't chip easily, looks good on my nails. Would recommend

Ok so, getting a good quality nail hardener in 2025, you would think should be easy right? Especially when it has the name 'Sally Hansen' on the bottle - a name known for good products. Sadly, I have found this to be lacking in performance and expectations. It has been demoted to a base or top coat. And my 'paper-nail' remains paper like....whilst I try and find something that works.

My nails got brittle, weak, thin. May be due to age or excessive diy at home. Two nails were even split vertically so whenever they used to grow they used to break from nail bed itself. So whenever I used to wear motorbike gloves or even diy gloves it used to struck in fleece, either damaging nail more and more or even break from odd places. Basically I was in no where situation. But addicted to diy I just continued my work whenever I got time, be that ponds making, gardening, wood work etc. I researched on amazon and ordered 2 products 1st "Cutex care intense recovery" which is an oil and started improving my nails within 4 days of usage and 2nd was "Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails" this is a clear nail paint to harden nails and actually it does what it says. All bad reviews which says it is not working I wonder why? I am a man in early 50ies and have zero knowledge on nail paints. If I can use both , anyone else could. First I apply oil few times a day, later I applied hardener , say twice a day and before bed time oil again. For me my nails are growing first time and showing recovery. Split nails are no no from past 1 week since I started using oil + hardener making it so tuff that they are no more thin or brittle anymore. If anyone want 1 product go for hardener as immediate solution. If budget is not a constraint go for cutex intense recovery oil as well which is long term fix. I will keep on using both because my priority is to retain my nails health while diy and daily chores. So worth spent money, Thanks a ton to amazon for quick & safe deliveries.

I like plain nails but want them to be healthier and look neat and nice so have been using this product for years. I'm glad I found it here

I've tried nail strengtheners in the past, but they never worked for me. My nails are very fragile, brittle, and soft; those are their characteristics. I decided to try this product, and I'm very surprised. My nails are growing stronger, a little thicker, and they don't break easily. I've been using the product for a month now, and I've only used half of it. I put on three coats, and they last four days. I remove them and reapply the product. I also use it as a base for my pedicure. It's simply wonderful because I've never had long nails before, and now they're growing stronger! Girls, I recommend it! You must have it! I want to buy more nail polishes from the same brand. I want to use these strengtheners forever.

Useless product. This is only a clear nail polish that you can use as a base. Does not strengthen your nails.
