Fantastic product. Zinc citrate, unlike regular zinc, does not give me nausea.

Our doctor recommended we add 30 mg of zinc supplement to our daily regimen. Since the doctor did not specify what kind of zinc, we researched for the most absorbable type and Zinc Citrate was the winner. These have no discernible flavor. The capsules are small enough to not cause any swallowing difficulty. We trust Solar to deliver the highest quality supplements.

I just received this item. I make a habit of checking for expiration dates. Unfortunately, the expiration date on this bottle is badly erased. The seal isn't broken. But the expiration date isn't visible. I have never had this happen with any of Solgar products. Solgar is a great company. So I am hoping to see a visible expiration date on this item if I order this again.

I chose this specific product for a few reasons. 1. It's 30 mg per serving, 2. The price was good for the amount of capsules you get and 3. to ward off catching colds. While visiting urgent care for a horrible cold and cough, during that visit I was told by the Medical Doctor that if I take zinc everyday as a preventative measure, I would probably not catch any nasty cold going around - ever. For the small investment of about $25 a year, I decided to take zinc everyday. So far, I've gone 5 months without catching any of the stuff that's going around. Both my husband, son and co-workers have been sick and I have not caught any of it. I committed to trying this for one year. So far I am very happy with the results! In the past, I tried taking things like Airborne as a reactive measure after knowing I was catching a cold, but that approach has never worked. Zinc everyday is working and I am very optimistic.

it seemed excellent. This was a gift to a friend who had some serious dental work done and his gums were very slow to heal and it had created a most stressful situation....so this 30 mg Solgar Zinc product was very impressive as it seemed to help the healing more quickly. The dentist even asked him .'what did you do"..... but that is another story! :) Most important after research this is a product that needs to be taken respectfully and follow the directions; which helps one to be comfortable and worry free.The research indicated from several sources i found that it can help inflammation for gums as well as other conditions. So that is why i selected the 30 mg. because it was in a comfortable safe zone for sure according to my research and then could have been increased if needed, to the 50 mg which is still in the safe zone. but this just was great....And this zinc product is outstanding, also it arrived quickly which was wonderful and will definitely be shopping with them again soon.

I found some articles that mentionned that some recent scientific studies pointed in the direction that Zinc could help reducing the time to recover from a flu/cold. So I bought this item Pros: - I researched this company a bit and they seem like a decent american quality company - For me, they seem to work in boosting immun system and reducing the time to recover from a flu/cold as I usually take up to 2 weeks to recover. This of course is just my personal opinion. Cons: - none found yet. But I don't use this every day - I'm not american ;) - but only just when a cold is about to come until it's gone

Super gentle and but did not find it as effective as others! These are gentle on the stomach.
