Magnesium Citrate Tablets, Supports The Nervous System, Energy Release, Reduces Tiredness and Fatigue, Vegan, Brown, 120 Count

Using this for help with chronic constipation. My husband has suffered for years with this, Has had all the remedies from GP and everything and anything he could think of including high fibre etc. Going on holidays was a nightmare, as it ruined more holidays than can be discussed. Since trying this two tablets per day. No problem. Regular toilet goer now.We did use another brand before, and it was effective, but not as good as this one. One year on this has changed his life. It just works. PLUS, he now says the skin itching he suffered from before seems to have gone. Not sure if there is a link. Wonderful product Another up date, still working well for him. Plus it is helping with dry eyes. He tells me that if he misses taking them, he is soon back to chronic constipation. I am now using the magnesium body butter [cannot take the pills] and I find I sleep so well. seems this mineral is something a lot of us need. Expensive, but worth every penny. Should we be able to get them on prescription, may save the GP, loads of money in Prescriptions? Just a thought. One year on, and we tried a different brand as the their were capsules and not so big. The Swanson ones were not so effective for constipation, so back to this one. 4 Dec 2015

I bought these to help with stomach problems. I seem to experience less pain now I'm taking them but I have noticed if I miss a day or two then the pain returns. The bottle is quite large and made of glass. As for size, honestly they're not much different to the other vitamins and medication I have to take. They're pretty average size. I took a photo so you can compare. They are the two white pills on the far right of my hand. They're not hard to swallow and my gag reflex is shockingly bad so if I can handle swallowing these then anyone can.

I’ve tried Solgar magnesium supplements before, but the tablets were so large that I found them difficult to swallow. These magnesium citrate tablets are a much more manageable size, which makes taking them every day much easier. I usually take three tablets about an hour before bed, and they’ve become part of my evening routine. I’ve noticed that I feel calmer at night and I’m sleeping much better, often making it through the whole night without waking up. There’s no unpleasant aftertaste, and they’re easy to take with water. As someone going through menopause, I’ve found them a helpful addition to my daily supplements. They seem to help me feel more comfortable, and it’s reassuring to know that magnesium has many benefits for overall health. For me, these are now a must-have, and I’ll definitely keep buying them.

I get a good calming effect from these and they help to relax my muscles, stop cramps and get some sleep. i've deducted one star because the manufacturer appears to think we're horses not humans. These tablets are huge but it only takes a moment to cut them into halves or quarters. I'm going to continue buying them as Solgar vtamins & minerals are good quality products amongst other things that I have my doubts about

Why oh why haven’t I found these before??? I’m currently on my fourth month of Mounjaro and suffer with the usual (it’s a well known side effect) from constipation. I can go a week without going and it gives me awful lower backache. I don’t know why but it always has done since I was a teenager and thought I’d done some damage to my back and it turned out to be constipation so know I’m prone to it if I don’t drink enough which I never do really. I had to resort to Fybogel which didn’t do anything or Dulcolax which gave me stomach cramps and diarrhoea, also having to make sure I’m near the toilet and not going anywhere on the day after I take it, I took it at night before bedtime. After scouring the internet about an alternative someone mentioned Magnesium Citrate. Thank you, thank you to whoever it was. I ordered some and they arrived the next day. I was surprised at the size of the tablets but thought ‘come on girl get on with it’ so took two mid afternoon with a glass of water. By bedtime 10pm I’d gone loads and next morning again….. I take one each day now and have never looked back. Of course you’re not supposed to take them if you’re on certain medications but it’s all in the description. If you’ve got the same problem give it a try. There’s 120 tablets in the bottle so lasts a long time if only one is taken per day. Well worth the cost because I was toying with the idea of stopping the Mounjaro which would be a great shame after coming so far.

They are fairly large but not a problem swallowing. But what I really wanted to mention was the laxative effect. I know some reviewers have mentioned it and I wanted to agree with them. I actually ordered this again because of the laxative effect - I take some strong painkillers for persistent back pain and they can block you up a bit. But two of these at night and I find no problem in the morning. More effective than prune juice, and prune juice is good. So I think you should keep that in mind, would that quality be an advantage for you or not? A while ago I found they were actually making me a bit too regular so I got some chelated magnesium to use instead for a while. You have to be careful with these ones! But like I say, I started to miss the regular laxative effect they have and ended up reordering these

Tablets arrived well packed..took one to help with constipation, yes it was hard to swallow but manageable with “mind over matter” attitude.. and a lot of water! One tablet did not help so after a few nights I doubled up to two tablets a night… the side effects were really remarkable, no help with the constipation, but felt really dizzy, almost fainted twice and felt very sick with the dizziness, uncontrollable salivating. When I asked AI if magnesium citrate can cause these effects, it said Yes definitely and can also cause low blood pressure. I read a lot of reviews but didn’t see any references to these effects so I am writing this review to warn others .. I have now binned 110 of the 120 tablets. ..luckily just a day after not taking them, I feel back to my normal healthy self. (But Still constipated!!) Lesson learned…Not for me!
