Fantastic value. A real bargain. Suitable for stews, casseroles, roasting, have cooked many times with it since bought. Looks great and takes me back to happy life in Spain. Wonderful for hot soups. and great serving dish to bring to the table.Does for family size meals or two alone. Delighted with purchase and will buy more in different sizes.

The size of the pot is good for up to four servings (stew, for instance). If using on the stove, directly under a flame, you need to keep stirring, maybe use a silicon spatula, to scrape the bottom because, if food gets stuck, it is a nightmare to remove it. Even soaking in hot water and bicarbonate of soda, which does wonders for steel pans, doesn't work very well. I believe it is preferable to use the pot in the oven. A word of caution about the lid. The knob is slippery and straight, offering no grip. It is a bad accident waiting to happen. In my opinion, they should re-design it and make it conical (wider extremity), so you can grip it with oven gloves or other cloth. I had to use the gloves for the mandoline, which have rubber on the side of the palm, to get a grip and lift the lid.

Gets mouldy and smells within days of not being used!! I had it clean and stored away for 3 weeks before 2nd use and when I opened the pot it was full of green mould inside and stank. Took ages to clean and get rid of the stink. This is unacceptable.Also the lid handle is very difficult to grasp when wearing oven gloves, which are a must when removed from hot oven - useless and a waste of money. I sent a message of complaint to seller, as advised by Amazon, but have received no response. How rude!
