Thanksgiving at the Tappletons'

I use this book for a Thanksgiving read aloud to give teachers a break and as a way to say I am grateful for their work. . After the story is read, I ask students to think of a time things didn't go as planned but ended up working out. We also talk about non-tangible things they are grateful for and why. Great book and great lesson in being positive, being a problem solver and showing gratitude.

I love this book! Used to read it to my class every year and laughed myself silly each time. I got this copy for my little grandson. I read it to him and we laughed and laughed. This book will become a tradition for him and me for years to come. Wonderful story with a lesson on human errors and forgiveness and family and fun.

This book is adorable. I love the message that it sends about being grateful for what you have. The illustrations are nice as well. My kids gave it 2 thumbs up and giggle every time we read it.

This is a really great book that teaches what the Thanksgiving holiday is all about. I've been using it as a close read in my class for several years. My students love the book. It is funny, it teaches a good moral, and it appropriately challenging for my 2nd graders.

I am so happy to see this reissued with the human family! I had it long ago and when I needed a replacement only was able to get the fox family, which is cute, but wanted the human family back! Adorable book for my third graders to study plot, character, and setting around Thanksgiving!

This is a wonderful, heart warming Thanksgiving story. My kids and I love this book. The kids find the "everything goes wrong" incidents hilarious and it's got a sweet ending. Super cute Thanksgiving book. We will definitely be reading this one for years to come.

What a great book for kids and adults alike

This adorable story has been a family favorite for years! Sadly, the illustrations in the new version use a family of wolves instead of humans. My now grown children were horrified so I had to pick up a copy of the classic version. Anytime there are glitches with Thanksgiving meal preparations, we all look at each other and say,"just like the Tappletons"!
