When it first arrived there was a dent on the wood lid edge which was somewhat sharp feeling. I used sandpaper to smooth it and no longer an issue. I then used food grade mineral oil on the entire wood lid to seal/protect it. I plan on doing this periodically like I do on wood cutting boards.I got the charcoal colored dish and it looks nice on my counter.It can hold two sticks of butter. Currently not using the plastic lid, but just the wood lid. We really like this butter dish.

tired of throwing out my glass butter dishes. They kept breaking. This will be my final butter dish. Love, love, love it. looks elegant. I actually keep it on the counter. The butter tastes so much better. very roomy. enough space for a large piece of European butter. perfect design with that little wooden board on top and the airtight seal top right under. great addition to my kitchen.

I never really knew I needed a butter dish, but this is a great item. My favorite Kerrygold butter fits perfectly and the dish looks better on my counter than the Kerrygold packaging. Easy to clean and well made. Plastic lid seals well and protects butter in the fridge. Haven’t used the wooden lid but it seems equally well made. Glad I purchased and would recommend.

My kitchen is black and white. I ordered this thinking the Charcoal would be a darker color, like in the pictures in the ad. It does not match my kitchen. However, I do like it so I will use it for cream cheese in the refrigerator and order another that is black and white.

Love it! Perfect for the kerrygold butter blocks we buy. I don’t see myself using the wood cover much because it makes the dish bulky but the plastic cover is perfect, easy to deal and easy to remove. I like the enamel base, it’s lightweight and I don’t have to worry about breaking it.

This product is the perfect size for 2 sticks butter or 1 Kerry gold. The plastic lid seals nicely. Wood top is ridiculous and excessive. It doesn’t seal to the dish at all. Wish the wood had a plastic trim on it so it sealed to the dish, too.

Great butter dish! Love how versatile it is, you basically get two products in one. The quality is really good, especially the wood lid. Love the detail on the inside of the line so when you display the butter or cheese it’s got a little something special. I ended up getting both the white and the charcoal as I loved the white one so much. Plan on getting a few for stocking stuffers as well.

This butter dish is the perfect size & I love the convenience of having both the wood lid & the plastic lid. The wood lid also makes a great service piece for the butter (or goat cheese) when you have some friends over! My kids always grab for this dish when putting away left overs too. Very sturdy, easy to put on lids & perfect size!
