Great way to keep the LED string light going
I have LED string lights permanently installed onto my pergola which I turn on nightly for a couple of hours. Although the original LED bulbs are supposed to have a lifespan of many years of use, it doesn't happen and I've had several bulbs fail just in the last year. I was running out of the spare bulbs that came with the original set and got this box of bulbs as replacements.Just changed out 6 failed/failing bulbs with replacement bulbs from this pack and my pergola is now bright again. The 2200K color temperature matches that of the original bulbs so they look as one. Far cheaper and easier way to keep the string light going compared with ripping the string light out from the pergola and replacing it with new lights. All 6 bulbs that I took out of the box worked so that's good. Will find out about the others when I need to use more bulbs. The product description states that it has a lifespan of 26,000 hours which I highly doubt, but time will tell how long it actually lasts. The one star off is only because it looks to be of lower manufactured quality compared to my original bulbs. In any case, they work and got my pergola to be brightly lit again so I'm happy with them.

Perfect for Indoor Accent Lamps
These bulbs are perfect for use in accent lamps inside my home, even though they are designed to be used in outdoor light strings. The amount of light output is slightly more than a miniature C-7 7 watt nightlight bulb. In the past I have used C7 bulbs with an adapter for indoor accent lamps. The C7 bulbs have a nice warm light and relatively low light output which is perfect for accent lamps. This product replaces the C7 bulbs and the adapter (see photo) and provides a warm, pleasing light that is the correct brightness for accent lamps. I have also used them in my home for night lights. This product uses only 0.5 W compared to 7 W used by the incandescent bulbs.I reduced the rating of this product by one star because there were two lamps where these bulbs simply didn’t light. I checked both the lamps and the bulbs using other fixtures and other bulbs and both the lamps and the bulbs functioned fine but not with each other. This leads me to believe that these bulbs are slightly fussy and may not work in all light fixtures.Otherwise, they present a good solution for accent illumination.

Same brightness for a fraction of the wattage as my old incandescent bulbs
I have started to replace all my existing S14 String Lights with these OmiSun LED bulbs. These are two main reasons I am doing this. First, with ever rising electrical costs, these newer LED bulbs use just 1 watt to power vs. 11 watts for my older incandescent bulbs. This will translate into real cost savings, and also allow me to run my string lights more often and for longer periods. The second reason is that these bulbs are made of plastic and are shatterproof, not glass. I have on a couple of occasions had my incandescent bulbs shatter, leaving glass on my patio. I feel these LED lights will be much safer since I will no longer need to worry about that. The shape of these bulbs looks like my incandescent bulbs but there must be a slight difference. The first 3 bulbs I added would not turn on. What I discovered was that I needed to continue turning the bulb about an addition quarter of a turn after it made contact with the top sleave of the string light before the light would turn on. In some cases, I had to put much more pressure turning the light into the socket than I expected before it made electrical contact. I did not have to tighten the incandescent bulbs near as much. Since these are plastic, it does not concern me, but if they were glass, I would worry about applying that much pressure for fear of breaking the bulb. The brightness of these LED bulbs appears equivalent to what I was getting with my incandescent bulbs. The clarity of the plastic look exactly like my glass bulbs. The only potential unknow is how these plastic bulbs will weather. Will they maintain this level of clarity outside, or can we expect some hazing and degradation of the plastic. I suppose we will not know for several years. Since LED have a significantly longer lifetime than the older incandescent bulbs, I’m hoping they age well.

These are exact replacements for the black 25 light patio strings.
I ordered these lights as replacements for my patio lights that were slowly failing. I’ve been wanting to convert to LED anyway, and this was my chance. The socket type I have is technically called E26 Medium, or ‘Medium Edison Screw’ base or MES, (the 26 refers to the diameter in millimeters which is approximately 1 inch) it is a common household type light bulb fixture. I found C9-type bases (think outdoor Christmas lights) and hot ‘Incandescent’ type Edison Screw Base lights which drew a lot more electricity, but LED-type lamps with Edison bases were expensive and hard to find. However, these lamps *are* LED, they fit perfectly, and they have great color. I used to have to buy a whole new string just to get the bulbs because it was cheaper than buying bulbs alone, now I just get this set of 25 and I have bulbs for all 24 sockets. I’ll post again when I have a long-term experience with these but so far I am more than happy. They are much less money than buying a new string just to get the light bulbs. I feel much better about running my patio lights because they draw a fraction of the electricity. One recommendation I would make which is a good idea for all threaded lights in our house is to wipe a dab of Silicone Dielectric Grease around the threads, this will make removal in the future a breeze should you ever need to replace it. So, there’s more information than you ever needed…
