If I put my iPad in the back of it instead of film, will it take a digital picture?

Dear sir, it is impossible to put iPad instead of film to take a picture.

Is the wood finish the same as the picture or lighter or darker?

The wood is same as the picture mostly. The wood is made of natural walnut, it's hard to guarantee its color, but it not will be too darker. ^.^
