I appreciate how deep in color this shampoo is. It allows for a nice toning effect on my blonde hair and extensions. Like any purple shampoo, it is a bit drying but that's to be expected.

Seems to work at toning, does not dry hair out, but pricier than other purple shampoos.

This purple shampoo helps keep the bloolnd tones and oust the brassy tones.Works very well and leaves hair feeling soft and smooth. Use as you would a normal shampoo. Style as usual.

Been using for two weeks. Left on for two mins to begin… last time left on for over 5 mins and my hair has exactly the same amount of brass to it. Super dissatisfied.

This purple shampoo is a nice thick consistency and I found that I needed to use much less of it than I do with my regular purple shampoo, which is a plus. Most purple shampoos don't really moisturize hair that much in my experience, and this one was about on par with that, leaving my hair soft but also kind of dry. The bottle suggests using a hair mask afterward, which I did, with great results.Now for the part we really want to know about: does it take the brassiness out of your blonde? The answer is yes, but with a caveat. This directions say to leave on for 1-2 minutes. For testing purposes I followed their directions and I would say the results leave a bit to be desired. My hair was definitely less brassy than before, but I didn't see the intense platinum pop in my highlights that I'm used to with other brands. Now to be fair, I've used Clairol Shimmer Lights and Bed Head Dumb Blonde for over a decade, and they both say to leave on for 7-10 minutes. I'm wondering if this product would perform equally as good if it was left on longer, but as the bottle distinctly says to use for 1-2 minutes, and apply 2-4 per month, I'm not sure if I'll risk leaving it on longer. All that to say I think it's a good product, just not sure how it compares to the brands I've been using for years.

The shampoo is obviously high quality, it’s incredibly thick, dark purple, and immediate difference after the first use!! I followed the directions which says to leave it for a couple minutes before rinsing, and I could feel the difference as soon as it rinsed out. My hair is super soft, the color (no artificial color, all natural) of my darker blonde hair is so lovely and prettier, I’m truly amazed. I want to get the conditioner now, I can only imagine what my hair will look and feel like then! The scent is great, the shampoo is thick, and noticeable immediate results. You’ve got to give it a shot!

Probably lots of folks who use purple shampoo are those with blonde or platinum hair, but it also works on brunettes with highlights. The trouble with purple shampoo, this one included, is that it will dry out your hair. Some products want you to leave it on 7 -8 min, or more, but this one says only for 1-2 minutes, so perhaps that’s better in that your hair doesn’t get as dry. Just be prepared that your hair WILL feel dry after shampooing and supplement with conditioner and maybe even a hair mask. Even with the little bit of drying that you will experience, the goal is to tone out the brassy and (in the case of brunettes) the orange from your hair. I found this while the shampoo did accomplish this goal, although not with overwhelming results. In general, brassiness from fresh highlights is a little harder to tone down than older highlights that have settled, but I found in the case of older highlights, this shampoo did a decent job. I was pleased and enjoyed the pleasant scent as well.

Good shampoo, very moisturizing, has a nice scent, my hair feel soft and nice after using it.
