I got this to attempt to heal a wound that I had a hard time healing due to continued irritation where my desk chair rubs the side of my leg. I thought I'd give it a try because it would add some cushion to keep from getting additional rubbing. While I did get the wound to start healing from the added cushioning, I had a hard time getting it to stay in place. I think the lack of draining from the wound, which is good I guess, kept if from sticking. I can't say for sure if the item itself helped heal or whether just the addition of the cushioning did the trick. For wounds with larger amounts of drainage I would probably say it works great but I may have to try again to see if it fits my needs in the future.

I have these for trail riding. We go off grid for a couple weeks at a time. Typically we are in less than sterile environments. I have these to prevent minor wounds form becoming larger problems. I simple added this to a cut I got and secured it with a clear adhesive dressing. My cut healed nicely and I was able to continue with my trip without seeking medical attention. The material is thicker than expected, but easy to cut down if needed. I think of them as preventative. I would recommend them.

These dressings are some of the latest technology in wound dressings. They are great for "weepy" wounds and anything that might be susceptible to infection as the Silver Calcium component helps to kill bacterial growth. With this size you can cut them to fit most wounds. I'm keeping one in my foraging/hiking kit at all times. I won't be without them now.
